Update(1329ET): It appears things are moving fast, via Israel's Channel 12 broadcaster, following the earlier conclusion of Israel's War Cabinet meeting:

THE ISRAELI AIR FORCE HAS COMPLETED ITS PREPARATION FOR AN IMMINENT ATTACK AGAINST IRAN
The Times of Israel top headline has switched to: War cabinet decides to hit Iran back hard, hopes it won’t spark regional war

A host of airlines have canceled flights to the region, including the following:

Germany’s Lufthansa has suspended its regular flights to and from Tel Aviv, Erbil, and Amman, up to and including Monday. Flights to Beirut and Tehran will remain suspended until at least Thursday.
KLM cancelled all flights to and from Tel Aviv until Tuesday, a spokesperson for the Dutch arm of Air France says.
Britain’s easyJet on Sunday paused operations to and from Tel Aviv. The carrier said in an emailed statement to Reuters that it will temporarily pause operations to and from Tel Aviv until April 21.
Wizz Air says it had cancelled most of its flights to and from Tel Aviv, Saturday through Monday.
Finnair has suspended operations in Iranian airspace until further notice, which may cause longer flight times on flights from Doha. A spokesperson said the Finnish carrier will reroute over Egypt, resulting in delays of a “few minutes.”

Update(1225ET): Israel is looking to "send a message" against Iran, but short of causing outright war and mass casualties, a top level official has told The Washington Post. During Monday's Israel War Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu is reported to have requested defense leaders to draw up a list of targets.

According to Washington Post's reporting:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked the Israel Defense Forces to provide target options, according to an official familiar with high-level discussions, who said Israel is looking at options that would “send a message” but not cause casualties.
Those options include a potential strike on a facility in Tehran or a cyberattack, according to the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the talks.
“Everybody agrees that Israel must respond,” the official said. “How to respond, when to respond, is the question.”
Israeli officials are now signaling to their US counterparts that they would like the White House's backing and coordination for retaliation, however, so far President Biden has urged restraint. This weekend the president clearly said the US will not back an Israeli military attack on Iran, on fears it would spark a bigger war.

Biden has issued what appears an ambiguous statement, and Israel's military says it is preparing:

  • BIDEN: US COMMITTED TO ISRAEL'S SECURITY AND FOR CEASE-FIRE

So civil war, even if its just low-level, in 18 months. Unless they plan to merely conscript shitlibs/commies.
They will not conscript locals but the current crop illegals. Its also easier to train them most of them been around guns and violence and aren't obeasts needing 10 medication to function. Mark my words you are in 4-5 th century rome ark . Letting in mass Germanic tribes latinos and Haitians and them conscripting them in the foederati american army. Question is how are they going to sell it . Pathway to citizenship? Pathway to green card?

Yeah no that isn't gonna fly either. Venezuelans are entitled as fuck and will refuse to join. These people are in the USA are there only for easy money, the moment any effort is asked of them they are leaving.

What makes anyone think that these illegals wouldn't just aim the guns you so helpfully given them right back at their "masters"? After all, they can just ask "do you feel in charge?"

Not just weapons but also oil.

We've been playing a risky game of buy low/sell high with the nation's emergency oil reserves and the prices haven't dropped since the last time we sold. Our oil backups are way too low to fight an offensive war and it doesn't look like we'll get the chance to refill them anytime soon, at least not without printing a shitload of money and driving further inflation.
The SPR is not large enough to fight any sort of war of any size. private storage is multiple times larger and expands by millions of barrels each year.

This makes me consider the impact of the Lahaina situation. Democrats have bent over backward to give criminal alien invaders tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars in encouragement for breaking our laws. Meanwhile, in Lahaina, where Democrat mismanagement led to 1000s of deaths and the destruction of an entire community, they got $300 and a lowball offer to buy them out of their property, which they were barred from returning to.

Personally, I would be furious over this. Hell, I'm already 2nd hand furious, just thinking about, it right now.
Damn another thread to chase down.

Maybe Hawaiians are gonna leave the plantation because of Lahaina and they're pivoting to surf mommy since she left/was kicked from the dem plantation?

We are in clown world where sanctuary cities blame republicans for their own retardation and the consequences of their actions and biden admin openly fighting the state governments to keep the border open and keep immigrants streaming. Like look how much stupid shit they have done i won't put it past them giving guns and training to cartel members and sending them to die for Israel.

All of this telegraphing of battleplans irritates me. Does no one surprise attack anymore?

What is happening now is all political signaling, both domestically and on the international stage. Right now, basically everyone in the world is telling Israel sotto voce to knock it off and wrap up the Gaza operation, not because they give a shit about the Palestinians (no one really gives a shit about them), but because this whole thing is becoming remarkably destabilizing and distracting for the internal political situation of the surrounding countries and even the Great Powers. Israel is behaving like they don't give shit because Bibi knows his political career is essentially over once the emergency situation ends and people look into the security lapses that allowed October 7th to happen and the longer this goes on, the longer he stays in power and can figure out a way to save his hide.

Agreed. The 20 something aged Venezuelans coming to the US have spent their entire lives growing up under Socialism and are conditioned to expect the government to provide them free shit. The only reason that they're in the US now is that there's no more free shit left in VZ.

This Gaza operation is almost an exact parallel to what would happen if Xi tried to grab Taiwan...
