I ran ATOW a while back, and the scorpion visions were always so much fun to do. Especially when I was able to predict something retarded the falcon player would do later in the session and slip it into the vision.

Since nobody cared, I decided to check in on the shipping charges and see what the update was.

Tl;dr: the fees were so high because they messed up the shipping charge forms to include shipping, handling and other fees instead of just shipping. So half those ludicrous costs were on CGL's end, not the customers. Also, the battlemat included with most orders required bigger boxes. Good work everyone! Now all orders are going to be delivered later to redo all the paperwork.

Basically CGL fucked up magnificently on the paperwork and admin, but they are owning up to it. This is only the third Kickstarter they have fucked up.

Good news everybody, with GW fucking up 40k again, there’ll be a whole flood of people trying to find a game less political and infested with pozzed-

It sucks to see whats happening with 40k but I can't believe these brainlets are jumping ship to BT while keeping up the culture war stuff, so much second hand embarrassment especially when they call other people tourists while thats exactly what they are.

The jumping ship happened long ago when GW was doing it's fan video purging and some spergs tried to push BT as an alternative. I doubt anyone really did jump ship sans some tertiaries who don't matter.

I know it’s not a widely popular opinion, but I really enjoy the dark age mechs. There’s a lot of really cool designs. That said, it’s hard to find people that want to play that era around where I’m at.

I didn't censor anything it was the only available picture I had at the time so i posted it.

But also the Catalyst Twitter is in a meltdown. Rem in some vain attempt to control everything has been blocking everyone and not only that but replying to the post.

They’ve been mostly promoting their other non-BT products on my timeline.
 
So Mark Kern (Grummz on twitter) has been talking about the whole drama while he got some things mixed up his cover is pretty good.

On a side note Catalyst is in full burn mode and has been limiting tweets, honestly its a bad sign for the community when you pull a stunt like this.

I saw Kern's BT drama primer earlier today, which is the most thorough explanation I've seen about what's going on. Anything from that he got wrong?
 
Shits getting me so angry. But, we survived unseen, we survived anime etc. It'll be ok BT is huge before the passing tranny SJW shit. What bothers me most, they are hunting (us) people upset this drama.

I've been into this 30 years. I go into games now because I want to escape this shit world. Remember when "Rem" didn't even fucking know who Nasty K was? Brutal shame. Looking back sure I'll play devils advocate BT had some bigoted tropes but, also there were going way back based women blacks etc. I just want to meme and play with robots.

All that aside, I'm going to be the super for MW5 clans. I'm so so hype. I'm not even a clanner fag.

I haven't seen him mentioned but I do go long times dark, mechanical frog good back round noise. Also I just saw his vid on pixie, dude won ALL the points hating on the 1k var. My little group and I have a joke going how much I fucking hate that mech and he dunked on it. So I'm not alone.

I'm bringing a new nova to my weekly TT night it's using the omni setup but basically an LRM20 with art5 and it's own back up lasers and tag with some spare HS. I think it'l be kinda fun but needs cover.

He's still blocked by CGL, but his friends/followers/etc convinced him not to give up on Battletech after 40 years just because Catalyst is being a little bitch. So as far as I know Clan Sea Otter is back on.

So there's Battletech, which is the game one expects and I guess is now called Classic Battletech? And then they put out something called Alpha Strike, which is... 40k/Kill Team only with a Battletech theme? Is that right?

Nope. Classic BattleTech is what it was called during the FanPro years. It's just BattleTech now.

Alpha Strike is a simplified, much less granular ruleset that allows for faster games with larger amounts of units. A 12 vs 12 in BattleTech can take upwards of 8 hours even with experienced players (mostly depending on terrain and weapon choices). My group can finish a 12 vs 12 in about 2 hours, maybe a bit longer depending on how hot we're rolling.

BattleTech allows for maximum table-checking and dice-rolling autism with all the funny critical hit goodness everybody loves. Alpha Strike tones that down a lot for the sake of a faster, more deadly game.
