Certain private Jewish schools are highly regarded and are Yale feeders but the quality of the actual education is can be pretty mid. You are probably referring to the more liberal or maybe some MO schools. The more liberal Jewish schools are wonderful but some ultra-ultra-orthodox aren't even taught basic math and science. Jewish schools also tend to be very small, the quality is extremely variable and honestly I can't generalize. While great at placement in post-secondary institutions, I can't say that in general private Jewish education, even the liberal kind, is academically rigorous especially in comparison to the non-sectarian or Catholic private schools available to most of these students. Often you will find that the students at Jewish schools are rejects from the real elite prep schools. Even the liberal Jewish universities aren't known for their academic rigor, look at Brandeis for example, they have great placement when it comes to getting their undergrad students into certain Harvard/Yale/Standford/etc. grad programs and getting their graduate alumni into tenure-track positions, but the actual programs are mid.

Blandness is a point of pride because our food sets the standard for the rest of the world, stewed meat and muffins are boring but at least they aren't meatloaf.
The mass produced supermarket shit is definitely amerimutt tier but at least we've got local bakeries who still make the good stuff, cannot compete with eurofags for quality though.

British food is great, including Haggis which can be delicious, the problem is that there are a lot poor quality options to choose from and unfortunately too many people opt for convenient options. The bread is a case in point, it's disgusting and unhealthy - but it's cheap. It's got to the point now it's hard to find any bread I will regularly eat here.

It goes with everything though, fry ups with good sausages and bacon from the butchers, real bread toast, some good quality eggs..
Amazing. Alternatively, you could get some slop where the sausage is filled with mechanically reclaimed pork. No thanks.

If you make your own you can know exactly what's in it. For instance, just grind up pork butt or just one meat instead of a bunch of mystery meats. Brats are pretty flexible as to what you put in them.
