There's no right to secession anywhere in the constitution. The South tried to establish one so it could keep increasing the nigger population to maintain the supply of the cheapest of labor and it lost. There's no feasible way to vilify a father attending his son's graduation.

I think this judge has two angles. One is he wants to be the first one to put Trump in a physical jail cell because the absolute power he would have over a President would do what the viagra couldn't, and he thinks he'd be a hero for all time to the left.
The second, and perhaps more important, is they can start using these trials to prevent Trump from campaigning, holding rallies, attending debates, etc. Biden agrees to debate Trump, but whatever judge does the case says he'll jail Trump if he doesn't show up to court and stay til 5pm on the day of the debate. Trial days scheduled for every day of the Republican National Convention. Even better if they have him in jail. If they can stop him from going to his son's graduation or the Supreme Court, nothing is off the table. Now more than ever, I think there is a 100% chance he will spend at least one day in jail between now and November, and then the more days he's in jail the better for them.
You may say, "but the optics, this will only help Trump!"--they don't care. The only optics they want are for their base who rabidly want to see Trump behind bars because it says they were right all along, and they truly believe normies won't vote for Trump if he sees bars.
In the movie Civil War, the absolute money shot (literally) in the end is them dragging the President from behind his desk in the Oval Office and shooting him dead. I thought that would never happen, but now I'm not so sure. Compare to the show Rome where Caesar sees Pompey's head and melts down..."HE WAS A CONSUL OF ROME!!" The idea that you treat your enemies, especially political ones, with some respect and decorum, where in the US we might mock and bash an opposing President politically, even put them on trial, but we wouldn't shoot them like a rabid dog and drag their body literally through the streets. Now I am not so sure.

This is the key point, @dustbuster - they only care about their base. 2020 showed the Left that the judiciary won't do a goddamned thing when it comes to outright fraud, and they think they cowed the Right into submission with the Boomer Tour incarceration. I would call it a trial but hardly any of them have been tried yet.
