Dreamcast was an S tier, it probably had the best library of great games of any system's first three years. It stood on its own without EA support, and what online play I was able to use worked well with the 1 second telephone lag.

I'm mostly okay with S-Tier; the SNES, PS1, and PS2 are iconic because in the 1990s into the early 2000s, developers were seeing what works and a lot of good shit came from it. I'm iffy about sticking the 360 there, because I'm not happy that it's when videogames got popular and online multiplayer started becoming something every game needed. It did a lot to advance videogames, but not in the right direction; solid A, and not because it had a lot of great games on it. PS4 can be dropped down to B, because outside of Bloodborne and maybe another Sony exclusive (that I can't think of), it was just one of three consoles at the time; and with that, the WiiU and XB1 are along with it in B. There wasn't a lot of anything noteworthy, they worked, had a few moments, but otherwise uneventful.

A is mostly okay; but move the OG Xbox and PS3 down a tier to B and move the PS5 to D, because what the fuck does it have going for it. Saturn needs to be boosted to B; had lots of good stuff, just no support from Sega of America for it.

B is ehh... Move the two X boxes down to C next to the PS5, because they're about the same; everything is multi-platform and nothing noteworthy. Looking at a lot of stuff coming up, there needs to be a too obscure/didn't play for shit like the TurboGrafx (had some good RPGs) and no one paid the $700 in old money for the mobile SNK, Jaguar, 3DO, and other platforms. Most of these things I only saw in adds and the occasional toy store whenever we'd go out of town; the only people who had those were rich techies or people who hit the jackpot at a pawn shop in the 1990s.

The autistic hill I will die on is that if Sega didn't release the 32x, consumers wouldn't have felt as burnt out with their consoles by the release of the Dreamcast, and we'd still see them in the market competing with Nintendo and Sony.

The Dreamcast was super ahead of its time, but customers were just too sick of buying new hardware from the company after the life support add-ons that the genesis went through.

I absolutely refuse to watch this retarded video for context because it sounds like a waste of my time but I don't understand how you could compare consoles like the Nintendo Color TV or the Fairchild Channel F to the PS5 on the same tier list. It doesn't make any sense conceptually, of course the Amiga CD-32 is worse than the Nintendo Switch, what the fuck? You could put any piece of dogshit on there then, why not flood the list with every single different Tiger Electronics handheld? Xbox 360: RRoD (They mention it in the video, yet completely brush if off), first console to have paid online multiplayer & trying way to hard with Kinect
PS4: "Why would anyone play this?" - Jim Ryan on backwards compatibility (not that PS3 emulation was possible in the first place with that hardware), weak launch line-up & probably half of the good exclusives are remakes
Switch: The only one I would say you can kind of make a case for, if you have no problem with the outdated graphics & Nintendo being Nintendo.

As to the gaming thing, the Original Nintendo Entertainment System is S tier, it saved gaming. The 360 is nostalgia goggles for Linus generation. With the upcoming shutdown I went through my wishlists, and realized I'm pretty much good with what I bought when the console was current. If you boiled the 360 down to one game, it wouldn't be halo, it would be Gears of War. BROWN FILTER, UNREAL 3 ENGINE.

From the list. I dislike how every Gen 1 console is C tier or below. For historical reasons I would put them(at least the pong, color TV and atari 2600). Xbox 360 gets S-tier after RRoD? What a fucking joke. Original Xbox consoles are built like tanks and mine still works with no issues, yet my 360 died twice. Never bought the newer Xboxes after that shit. N64 should be S-tier for Perfect Dark, Goldeneye and SM64 alone, B-tier is laughable for such a legendary console.

PS1 was okay but disc issues galore for me. My fat PS2 had overheating issues but the catalogue of games was enough to ignore that. I think the memory card price gouging should disqualify PS2 from S-tier since the original Xbox had an HDD.

By the time newer consoles rolled around, I had a PC worth a damn and never bought another console.
