i noticed a lot of old metal bands like nevermore or zyklon wrote about a lot of topics that modern metal bands would refuse to go near like industrial society removing freedoms, leftist oversocialization, and tiananmen square

even normie bands like megadeth openly wrote about the United Nations being a bunch of satanic pedophiles and dave mustaine committing acts of domestic terrorism in videos

despite the name of the album being stolen from timothy leary it feels closer to the writings of ted kaczynski

half of the album is warrell dane schizorambling about industrial society and the tiananmen square massacre being part of the cybernetic rapture

modern bands from the USA would never write about anything actually controversial in 2024
