My personal favorite is this "think of the chuddies while you freeze" made me laugh so hard my lungs shriveled up in general the ones where he gets power to abuse are the funniest IMO

Specifically the Bad Guys. Most of them do their own shit now, but they were hilarious when they were all active.

This is why roleplaying sucks, these guys come up with these elaborate trolls, the gondolier's acting is hillarious but the fucking sped being trolled is too slow and dumb to realize what's going on, these retards spend all day in roleplaying games but are completely unable to actually roleplay, it's the same thing in Gmod, the moment someone does something they don't like they go crying to the admins instead of trying to solve it through the game.

My problem with the DNSL guy is that he's a pussy who can't take it himself. His stream got raided by the sharty leading to him sperging out and being doxed. At one point he is typing in all caps demanding an apology from the sharty's owner.

Fred Phelps and the WBC as a whole were never really racist nor sexist either, speaking as someone who was somewhat up to date with them when they were at peak relevance during the 2000s up until 2014 with Fred's death. I'd say they are surprisingly 'progressive' for such a strict and tightly knit Calvinist church that really hates fags.

Back in the 2000s they had an affiliated (ran by a family member iirc) website that went like "GodHatesEveryCountry" and their article on Germany was almost entirely bitching about the Nazis doing the holocaust or something and how Hitler was secretly gay and that's their reason why 'God Hates Germany'. Though of course they did have famous picket signs saying "God Hates Jews", it seems like their take on da juice is from an entirely different direction than most people in the right but with still the same fire and brimstone nonetheless as your average Web 1.0 skinhead.

Also remembered an ancient lolcow crossover between James the Preacher and the WBC sparring off with one another when ol' James noticed that one of the female WBC preachers wore pants, golly!

All in all, I'm pretty sure that for Fred himself specially. He probably fully believed in the Civil Rights cause when he was an idealistic young lawyer. But over the time probably changed his beliefs on race later down the line and he did make 'sexist' comments when he was an old grump running the church. But he never made it official church policy to go TND/Woman-Hate or whatever besides what were obvious. Like "God Hates Abortion", "God Hates Whores", "America Deserves White People Dying From Violent Niggos (Because They Made Buttsex Legal)". But never... "God Hates Niggers". Y'know?

I like some of his police RP trolling videos. Police RP is the dumbest shit ever and the reactions from its players are always good. He also made multiple videos where he impersonates server staff and one of the guys he trolled ended up dumping his life story unprompted in a very lolcowish way, which was hilarious.

On Bub being pozzed, it’s a little complicated. He’s openly called people retarded and made other jokes which indicate an “edgier” sense of humour, but he does seem to get triggered easily by other players using racial slurs. Also, I agree that the statements he made about reporting Harry Potter RP servers to Warner Bros. were probably jokes. If he is pozzed, he manages to keep it out of his videos for the most part. They’re entertaining enough to not mind the few times he slips up, in my opinion, but I understand if he’s still too gay for Null’s liking.

As if the earlier kerfuffle surrounding the addition of sponsored ads wasn't enough, Discord has now found itself embroiled in a new controversy revolving around a scraping service that collects the messaging platform users' data and tracks their messages shared across various servers.

As exposed in a recent writeup by the 404 Media team, the service known as Spy Pet is actively scraping Discord servers on a large scale, archiving and monitoring users' messages and activities across various servers, including their voice channel interactions. This data is then sold for as little as $5 in crypto, with the report mentioning that the purposes for which this data is sold include training AI models and assisting law enforcement agencies.

The publication further reveals that Spy Pet currently holds a database of more than 3 billion messages, gathered by tracking over 14,000 servers and 600 million users. With Discord allegedly boasting around 614 million registered users as of January 2024, this implies that the website in question is consistently monitoring the overwhelming majority of them.

As part of 404 Media's investigation, they uncovered that after submitting a payment, Spy Pet customers receive credits at a rate of $1 per 100 credits, which can then be used to look up individual users, the servers they are a part of, connected accounts, recent messages, and their activity in specific voice channels within a server.

Moreover, the team discovered that the service doesn't appear to have access to users' private messages and solely scrapes content from channels within Discord servers. Additionally, they contacted Spy Pet's creator, who described Discord as "basically the holy grail of scraping, since Discord is trying absolutely anything to combat scraping".

So, if you are a Discord user, keep in mind that nearly everything shared on the platform is likely being tracked and accessible to anyone for a price cheaper than a Big Mac.
