It also was just a normal name people gave all-black pets up into the 1940’s.He was a child. His family adopted it and he loved the cat. It always sounds like adult HP bought a cat and gave him the name because he hated black people.
I hope it isn't revealed Frieren is some chosen one because the show so far averted that trope.Concerning recent Frieren talk. Found an interesting comparison.

There's a difference between what seems to be an "axis" compared to the Unified King's staff which looks like a star, but I found it interesting at eye catch.
I heard good things about 5D, but the latter part specifically so you need to power through "card games on motorcycles".Are any of Yu-gi-oh's seven or eight shows worth downloading and watching?
I always look forward to the next entry for these
Definitely GX is worth watching. All of it. You'll need to skip Zexal. Vrains is okay, but I suggest if you ever go for Arc V to skip the latter episodes. And of course, the first series. There's also season 0. Definitely worth watching. Are any of Yu-gi-oh's seven or eight shows worth downloading and watching?
You mean HP was actually a multi-dimensional complex and smart person? Nah you're just pullin' my leg man, come on now.He was a child. His family adopted it and he loved the cat. It always sounds like adult HP bought a cat and gave him the name because he hated black people.
I mean, maybe it's just my relative lack of familiarity with the original talking here, but I really enjoyed both 2202 and 2205 (and Celestial Ark, as rushed as that film feels at times). As much as I love Space Opera and how much I liked the Yamato 2199 remake, I don't know, 2202 and everything after was such a letdown. I don't exactly understand how a good remake (let's be honest, they did a great job with 2199) ended up with such a haphazard and boring sequels, nuking all new characters and chained to retcons and confused narratives.
But maybe it's just me.
God, that movie was terrible. It was just fighting ripoff Zonder Metal minus the cool stuff and a bunch of pretentious preaching about "Or that Gundam 00 movie. Apparently, "misunderstandings" are also the root causes of war.
I've always liked how culty the villain factions feel. I don't think it's supposed to be pro-millenarian; I think the cultiness of the factions makes them look terrifyingly self-righteous and emphasizes how ideology-driven they are.I've been going through a lot of Gundam recently, and man do a lot of those 80s and 90s installments come off as some kind of millenarian propaganda, especially Victory. It's like Japan WANTED their people to start death cults.
Fukuitism, that's why.As much as I love Space Opera and how much I liked the Yamato 2199 remake, I don't know, 2202 and everything after was such a letdown. But their ideology is gibberish.I don't think it's supposed to be pro-millenarian; I think the cultiness of the factions makes them look terrifyingly self-righteous and emphasizes how ideology-driven they are.
That was Aldnoah.Zero, and, said in the kindest possible way, it was pure coal, but sadly with a great premise. That's the one where martian royalty had magic like tech mechas right? I think it was good
Why do you think so? I don't think they're gibberish. Even if they are, many real-world ideologies are ultimately gibberish, plus many of Gundam's ideologies evolved at the end of the day because there are space psychics and one particular philosopher got lots of political power. But their ideology is gibberish.
Oh, I remember them hiding their warship as a derelict so I got mixed up. I think I was too distracted by the premise and tech concepts to notice it was coalThat was Aldnoah.Zero, and, said in the kindest possible way, it was pure coal, but sadly with a great premise
What's the stupidest, politically tone deaf story in manga ever done?
was this really politically tone deaf?View attachment 5919260
If this had been published today, people would have flipped out. TL;DR: A Japanese guy does full blackface and commits a mass shooting, pretending to be a basketball-American.
Mild Gantz spoilers to provide context:Basically the contestants in Gantz are all people who died recently. The "admin" complained about all the recent contestants being weak, and convinced one psycho guy to create more by killing people. The point of the blackface was a disguise to throw off the police, he apparently gets away with it by ditching his weapons and his costume
I'd kind of recommend the Gantz manga, it starts out decent, over time becomes retarded but entertaining, but by the end is just retarded and nonsensical.
Yeah. Even the latest Gantz E manga has been nonsensical lately. One of the main flaws is that it drags a fight by about twenty chapters long.View attachment 5919260

Apparently it was licensed and translated into English from 2008-2015. It's just hilarious that some Japanese mangaka decided to do a blackface mass shooting as a plot point, talk about a perfect combination of things to piss off Americans.was this really politically tone deaf?
i mean, they're mystified, if not disgusted, by niggers over there
did anyone actually care though?Apparently it was licensed and translated into English from 2008-2015. It's just hilarious that some Japanese mangaka decided to do a blackface mass shooting as a plot point, talk about a perfect combination of things to piss off Americans.
Gantz is like #2 on the list of shitty manga I regret ever reading. The original is kinda sorta okay and has an interesting premise (though it ends up becoming obvious the first chapter was a pure spec manga and the author had no idea where the weird shit was meant to go, so it mostly treads water all the way up until the bonkers ending) so check it out if you must, but whatever you do don't touch any of the fucking sequels. They're carbon copies down to the exact same boring ass drawn-out godawful fights with the exact same monsters. "Gantz but in ancient Japan!" sounds cool until you realise he just xeroxed the back issues and drew topknots on everybody.I'd kind of recommend the Gantz manga. It starts out decent, over time becomes retarded but entertaining, but by the end is just retarded and nonsensical.
