I've said this in a few other threads, but it's almost as bad as it was when I was growing up, but in a different way.
When I was a young teenager, I was ashamed of my body because of how it looked and scared of being sexualized, but there was at least a feeling in the air of "that's wrong that people do that to you" and even if I felt sad that I didn't look like Laura Croft or whatever, she was cool.
Now, with everything happening, I can understand very well why young woman just want to get their breasts cut off or erase their curves. Instead of "Oh no, unrealistic body expectations for women" it's "These body types are inherently sexual by their very nature and must not be shown."

The reason for this simping here is mainly because of a recent Kotaku article saying "Hades II Is Addressing The First Game’s Lack Of Body Diversity" which doesn't make much sense cause the 1st game literally blackwashed Greek gods (Athena being the biggest example, there is an entire Black Athena narrative to Black nationalists/supremacist who believe Blacks created everything, & it was also shilled by Kotaku of course*), & did it lazily too as they literally just drew White characters & painted them Black. Honestly, the lack of effort is a bigger issue than the pozzing. There's also Eurydice, Ares etc. Also, Dionysus & Hermes are Asians, but it's honestly hard to tell at times. Now we get Black Hephaestus on a Wheelchair who looks like a rip-off of from Dungeon Meshi, a black-washed Selene, etc.

It's insulting to women gamers. The women they are trying to appeal to play Candy Crush or don't even like games in general. The rest are troons that want to play dress up in game as well as out. I never really had an issue with most of the female character designs. For every sexy chainmail bikini type there was some girl fully clothed. A lot of games I played had a good variety of styles. You have to expect some coomer stuff in there. Gacha waifu farms probably fill that role pretty well now. And there's tons of hideous indie games that appeal to whoever wants to play as an ugly genderblob. I just feel like there's a huge lack of diversity in games now that they are trying to be inclusive and diverse. Because they are intentionally making women and minorities look ugly in so many of these games. Someone is salty about sexy women existing. But it's not the gamers who actually play games, regardless of sex.

I play games for many reasons, I have never had an issue immersing myself in the game if I have had to play as a male character: if the story is good, and your brain is working right, it doesn’t fucking matter that you can’t create an avatar of yourself. I don’t play games for fucking realism, any versions of myself that I make are just a creation based on mood- who the fuck wants a perfect copy of themselves running around on screen?
