The plan is he has no plan. Military surprise isn't really even what he thinks it is.

D-Day wasn't a surprise. The time, location, and size were the surprises. Mosul is encircled. There was no question of 'If', the question was "when" and "What front."

The last one looked good for Trump, in this one he looks like a pouting child, completely out of his depth. He lost to HRC, pretty much any other Republican could've beat her. (lulz maybe not Cruz)
