Shaving off your armpit hair does allow more sweat to get onto your clothing. The hair does serve a purpose in keeping sweat confined to your body, as it will keep your clothes cleaner. However, the sweat will retain odor if your armpit hair is too long, so if you don’t shave regularly, you want to find the sweet spot between keeping your hair long enough to keep the sweat off your clothes while not being too stinky.

Pubic hair is generally very thick, so removing hair from the bikini area can cause a lot of irritation and unsightly bumps, especially during hot weather and if your skin reacts to the chlorine from pools and hot tubs. There are moisturizing creams available to help with this.

As far as I know, the first civilization to routinely remove body hair were the Ancient Egyptians, who were also obsessed with cleanliness. They invented deodorant, too; they would hide fragrant oil in their wigs and headdresses that would melt with the natural heat from their bodies and produce a pleasant smell.

But...we're all fine with stubbly legs? The leg/arm hair is not really that different, arms are out more than legs and yet somehow one is fine to shave and the other one is kinda weird
Sometimes I want to go to sleep in shorts so I can rub my soft, smooth legs together like a cricket under the covers as I drift off. Can’t do that with arms without looking like a retard.

Nice, I always liked them. From enslaving smelly Semites, to building wondrous pyramids and temples, to having the first militantly extremist, monotheistic religion on the planet🥰

I hate shaving and get awful razor burn no matter what hair removal method I use, personally I think hairy pits, legs, and bush looks better than razor burn. Tbh I hate being fully shaved, I feel like I look prepubecent when I see myself in the mirror. I do trim the bush if I want my husband to go down on me though, because I'm polite.

I think more women should just stop shaving, men care less than you think and the ones who  really care you'll probably want to avoid anyway.

May I ask what's with this insistence on shaving as the preferred hair removal method?
I am very surprised because no woman I know shaves UNLESS it's an emergency of some sort and they cannot go to the beauty salon for waxing. Also, no woman I know knows how to shave, and most did not even use proper foam, and had very dumb razors that are not supposed to ever be used outside pure emergencies.
Why would you avoid men that care about it? Would you want a man to come to your date with a 2 days old short stubble and give you a rash? No you would not.

Some of us had laser so we don't need to shave anymore.

That being said, I don't judge women who have armpit hair. I mean it's really only in recent history that women started doing this, millions of women before us never shaved and somehow guys didn't recoil in horror and die. It's just hair and most guys don't give a shit. Any guy that truly cares is gay.

This is a weird amount of effort to put into pubes, right?

only near the warmer months when I'll be in short sleeves. I actually suck at shaving and nick myself to hell. It's just not worth it otherwise.

I do because I don't like the sensation of stray hair but I don't really care whether someone shaves their armpits or not honestly.

I've tried Nair and waxing (professional and home) once when I was a teen I spent an entire afternoon hand plucking my snatch in an effort to be hair free and bump free, it did not work

The best results I ever got were from a diy sugar wax, I still had bumps but it was a few big ones instead of many small ones. However it took forever and I'd honestly rather spend my time doing other self care.

Why would you avoid men that care about it?
Because I'm an adult woman, my body naturally grows hair, it is my body's natural state. If he's put off by hair how will he handle if I get a case of the shits and blow up the bathroom? Food poisoning that leaves me projectile vomiting? I need a ride or die, if he can't handle hair I don't want him. Life gets gross and I'm a firm believer your partner should be the ONE person you are never embarrassed around.

I don't think I explained well, it's not about want. If it was about want I would throw all my husband's razors away and make him go full jungle man. My point is that if a man wants to show up with stubble that's his right, like it's mine to show up with hairy pits. I also understand many men also get razorburn so my first thought would not be "oh this lazy bum" but "maybe we got the same stupid sensitive skin"
