Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

In an old video talking about petscop, someone tried to recreate that effect. According to the video maker's experiments, he didn't used VHS but DVDs and a Capture card.
Paul probably tried to do something to faithfully recreate the VHS aestetic without having access to it. The video maker's experiment being the closest to how petscop looks was: recorded the video on pc, burned it on DVD, played it back on PS3 or another DVD Player, and recaptured it via capture card.
The guy that makes shitpost VHS videos, Sky Corp Media, also records on actual VHS:
It was some filter on top of his recorded gameplay video using RetroArch iirc from one of his old tweets.

this is a shot in the dark, but anybody remember a Slender the 8 pages retrospective that had like 300k views from a channel that had literally no videos besides like 3 more about other slender games all made during the same year, have been looking for it and it seems the channel has completely banished from youtube
Yeah, I remember him. Guy's name was SonoSara and he was also a Mario Youtuber with the same voice and twink avatar lol. Shame he went and deleted his shit he had the best slenderman videos out there.

Edit: the Mario channel's called DuoStuff. Hasn't uploaded in almost a year.

holy crap thats the one, thank you! its a shame he deleted everything, was looking forward for his Marble Hornets video

Yes he did troon out. He put she/they in his bio and made a cringe art community post where he transforms into a woman. It's somewhere in this thread
Okay so Alex Kister is an annoying fag and now Alex Casanas is a troon? Man, is KanePixels the only normal indie horror creator?

So far, yes but mainly because he's not involved in retarded internet drama, troon shit, pedo allegations, and shit activism. He didn't jump on the UrbanSpook bandwagon either.

Anyway, new Savox.
Some of the cases are pretty infamous and talked to death already, like Malaysia Flight 370, Rodney Alcala, and that dude who shot his girlfriend and pushed her body over a cliff.

New Disaster Breakdown. Worry not, no troon on screen. I didn't watch the last video, just skimmed through it, couldn't get over his shitty jokes, his shitty outfits or that shitty wig.
Thankfully, it's just plane talk.

New Dire Trip x2.

And uh....

Starting out strong in this one, jesus fuck.

With a face like that, yeah, I believe it. This woman looks like she's seething with deep bloodthirsty, fueled by a callous but intense hatred of humanity and the value of life.
(:_(

But she was also absolutely fucking insane. I find it mildly amusing that she did play the race card, however like a true shrewd grifter.

"No, I can't talk to a white man as a black woman."
>Cops get a black colleague to talk to her.
"No, actually I just discovered that I am a white woman so I will not give power and control to a black man."

Bitch is black as shit.

And second video.

The victims of trash TV.

There's just something about Tuv that always felt off about me. I've known the dude back when he had around 100k+. Seeing him reach to to 2M+ is honestly surprising and I can't deny that I am amused to see how far he's come. I don't know, it's just an obligation for me to congratulate youtubers who had so few get so many throughout the months or years.

But looking through his current content, I can't help but just go,

"He doesn't really stand out much. He looks like every other horror/crime/whatever documentary youtuber that tries to cash in on things that's already been discussed to the brim. Even the way thumbnails are done feel all the same and overdone. He makes a big deal out of things that are averagely weird or slightly unsettling at best. I want to like his content but how can I when it's no different from all the other youtubers like him out there?"

That's just something that crossed my mind for a while. There's a reason why I prefer watching youtubers like Fascinating Horror, Disturbian, and Disturbed Reality. They give something new and fresh, something that I can watch and go "wow, this was truly an insightful video!" towards. Cannot recommend Fascinating Horror enough especially. They just talk about what they're meaning to talk about and don't drag out the video or make a big deal out of the things they discuss in the video.

I just hate it when youtubers don't give something new on the table. It's always something that's been done countless times and heard millions of times. You don't need to tell us about EDP's crimes, we've heard him a million times. You don't need to tell us about Shane Dawson or Dream's controversies that low quality commentary channels with the most generic names and profile pictures ever have told us enough, we've heard them a million times.

Stop showing subpar websites that are just a bit weird at best and treating them like they're the scariest thing since the ooga-booga man. Stop titling your videos as if they're from WatchMojo.com or something. I'm probably exaggerating all of this since I haven't caught up to most of his current videos, but I won't be surprised if they're filled with lowball censors (just say suicide and sexual assault normally man, you're already talking about a topic that'll potentially get you demonetized anyways.) and occasional sponsorships. That's how it is for a lot of these lousy lots nowadays.

Not a youtube channel, but there's a collection of decent short films that are sorta creepy called the Forbidden Files. Never goes too far into 2spoopy, no lore, just little snapshots of weird. They used to be on vimeo, but they got deleted, so there's a google drive.

Here are my two favorites, although I wouldn't say any of them suck.

Clearly this guy has more of a budget than a youtuber, not by much though, and access to some decent voice actors. Just makes me sad that this shoestring budget film series surpasses practically everything on youtube because everyone always wants more lore, or everything explained in autistic detail.
Doing a little bit of digging, this appears to be a French TV series from 1989, which would explain why the aesthetics and style ooze with authenticity, probably also why it got yeeted from the free side of Vimeo (they're paywalled now). What's odd is the last one, The Examination, was supposedly made in 2010 (20 year hiatus?) and there's yet another new episode based on Roswell that's not in the google drive link. Very odd. Excellent series, nonetheless.

I watched the latest Tuv video (the one about last videos before disaster) and it was pretty bland, the thing that got me was that he kept saying "so yeah, rest in peace to all the victims" after every single one and after five it started to become unintentionally funny.

He doesn't seem that interested in what he's talking about, I don't know if it's his style or if he would rather be doing other videos.

Here's a mini-documentary about the crash of Helios Airways Flight 522. As scary as this is, I feel that the person who would have suffered the most terror of all has to be Andreas Prodromou - while the passengers and crew would have been disoriented and scared as their oxygen ran out, in the end it would have been like peacefully going off to sleep. Meanwhile, Andreas watched everyone else in the cabin fall unconscious and slowly die. Still, he tried his best with the situation put before him, as the official report for the accident says that he attempted to communicate with the fighter jets by hand, called mayday several times, and steered the plane away from Athens, almost certainly saving lives on the ground in the process. This is one of those accidents where if a single variable was changed, things could have turned out very differently.

I like how this video was made. It gets straight to the point, doesn't use shitty 'algospeak' to avoid discussing heavy topics (i.e. no 'the passengers became unalive', 'he became game overed', etc.) and the narrator doesn't waste the viewer's time by going off on a rambling opinion piece of only tangential relevance to the incident.

That reminds me of that one episode of Bojack Horseman where they kept saying "thoughts and prayers" while talking about shootings even when they clearly didn't care that real people died, you know, as a parody.

I need a series that's just a parody of youtubers reacting to analog horror where the youtuber is one of the dime-a-dozen fake people monsters trying to convince the audience that they're human. Like he starts off basic, looking at and analysing the popular ones like normal, then slowly starts putting videos that don't actually exist in there that's just footage of his buddies ("It's real obscure guys, I guess other tubers just don't have my connections"), starts making small comments where he says odd things or goes "Nah, we wouldn't kill the guy that way." until it turns into a cryptid version of those 'Former Gangster reacts to gangster related media' videos.

I actually really like this. Reminded me of an old funny.
There's an old X thread about skinwalkers and how to defend yourself, and someone accidentally outted themselves as a skinwalker. Many lulz ensued.

Got a new CreepCast, I was kinda hoping they were gonna do a part 2 of "Needlessly Long Title" but it seems they moved on to a new story.
Oh, 1999. This story was the center of a plagiarism drama some time ago. Simply put, someone reposted the story in the Creepypasta Wiki with more segments, some of which were copied directly from Alantutorial. The author claimed it wasn’t him, but there are some doubts. For a better breakdown, I suggest watching Fish Stick on a Stick's 1999 review, it was a pretty good video, and certainly not as long as this one.
