Was this status update thing always there or is it one of those things that breaks and unbreaks whenever XenForo gets a config change?

Is dear leader working on anything to make uploading videos less torturous? I struggle to upload 70mb files (I cannot compress/split them harder without them being obnoxiously low quality and/or making the upload like 10 parts long). Uploading on clearnet has been almost impossible for months now. You upload to 100% and then it goes completely blank.

Sometimes if you post anyway it shows up as an uninserted attachment, but it doesn't, more often than not. It's a complete gamble.

Other times it gets to 100% and then it never moves to being fully uploaded, so it stops everything else in the queue from being uploaded.

Accessing the clearnet site through TOR yields the same results last I tried it, except slower.

Uploading through TOR yields the most success for me, but it's so, so fucking slow and on top of that I have to constantly be active on the site or the instance dies and it doesn't let me save my edit or publish my post with the fully uploaded video after half an hour of waiting, leaving me no choice but to close TOR and reopen it so I can try again.

Help me white man. I am going insane. This feels like an MKUltra reject experiment. I am slowly being filled to the brim with violent rage.

Is there anyway to set search to default to showing the results by date rather than by "relevance?" I know you can set it to showing results by date in Advanced Search, but that is annoying to do every single time and I don't see a way to use that option when searching a specific thread rather than an entire subforum. It's really annoying to be searching a thread for something only for the results to show up in a completely random order.

What browser? There have been reports that Firefox works better.

Brave. Maybe the issues come from the shields up thing that Brave has? But it's weird because images and sound files work just fine (well I don't know too much about sound files, I've only uploaded them on very few occasions).
 
The issue has something to do with the layers of proxies we use for file uploads. It is true that Tor is more reliable for this. I've taken several passes at trying to fix this.

I think the issue may also be related to our networking and I'm actually working on that right now, so maybe it will get better this week.

Yes, I am aware. Hence why I said I know about setting it to order by date in advanced search in the post you quoted.

I was going to mention that turning off my VPN for clearnet was maybe more successful, but I thought maybe I was imagining things since it still fails often. So could that also be a reason? I'd still really rather not do that.

On Brave with Android, all options for editing text or adding/editing media are inaccessible. I've also noticed getting notifications is 50/50.

So your complaint is "in order to use search parameters that are only found in an advanced search, I have to do an advanced search."

While I'm sure it's true that the people who designed XenForo could have put that option in a simple search, it's not likely to change unless you have a time machine.
