Reddit being broken really reinforces how fucked Google searching is. These days, you have to include "reddit" in your Google searches, and if reddit is down like it is right now, you're just shit out of luck on getting those answers.

In the past, I could bypass this issue by checking the cached pages, but since Google removed that feature, now if reddit is broken or the comment is deleted, you're just shit out of luck.

There was PushShift. Then something happened and it stopped working. Maybe it's working again now. I haven't kept up with that situation. In any case, you could download giant compressed bundles of all Reddit posts and comments in a given time period.

I feel like few years ago a search on some niche topic would have led to forums or blogs or something like that. Now every result that isn't reddit is something garbled up by seo farm, its getting really bad with AI stuff.

I never write "reddit" in my searches. It just shows up at first result regardless and i reluctantly have to click if all other results are pajeetGTP trash.

I meant more of a public mass event. There have certainly been Nazi or Nazi-adjacent people with schizoid ramblings ala Mr Ye West, but I can't think of any public events where Nazis have shown up and done a hate speech with more than 5 people.

The closest I can think of is something like Patriot Front which only appeared in 2020 and will likely suddenly pop up again in 2024 for entirely unexplainable and unsuspicious reasons.
