I remember seeing that pic of that very pimply guy at the end of the fakeout face reveal vid and thinking that was actually him. But of course I was retarded. It was that conquistador meme image.

in his own streams, he actually says he disagrees with a lot of them on stuff, and you can probably guess how it's going to go if he goes against the consensus

That’s gotta be frustrating. He’s actually really clever (and funny) when he breaks down media (like his suspension of disbelief allegory) to the point that even when I disagree (like on his superhero media take), I respect it and can take something away.

Mauler crew (minus Mauler at times) doesn’t seem that clever to me, so to have him dogpiled by their takes is eh, no thanks.

They occasionally have takes that I agree with but for the most part it's just retards huffing their own farts and E;R is painfully out of place as not that kind of retard whenever he comes on.

The proper term for them is "midwit." I'll watch their EFAP Movie videos because they'll riff on shit and make jokes, but whenever they try to analyze media (or criticize other people's analyses), they just come off as first year film students pretending like they're smarter than they actually are. Mauler's analysis of Doctor Strange 2, in particular, is one of the single most retarded attempts at criticism I think I've ever seen.

Yeah that movie sucked but Mauler goes absolute full retard in trying to nitpick absolutely every single thing about it to the extent that about 1/3rd of the video can be boiled down to "I don't like Sam Raimi's brand of film humor".
