"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

You start with fruit before you do human skin.
Fruits, then dead pig skin, then the unfortunate souls who thought you were their friend, apparently.

Mind, I have no experience with tattoos whatsoever, so take this with as much salt as you will.

I briefly looked into how long it takes to "officially" learn to become a tattoo artist. It's months (covering hygiene, regulations, customer interaction, design, etc) and still that's mostly through Zoom courses. Who knew it'd take so little to be licensed to forever ruin someone's body?

The rest of art isn't as explicitly easy like drawing the lines the impression paper left on someone's skin and then coloring it in, but yeah artists are cancer.
I looked over James' tattoos quickly and yeah, none of those would require custom designs. Most are just text, which you can (and probably should) just type into a computer, spell-check, select a font, and print a stencil to trace over. The few "pictures" are all quite isolated, hardly designed to his body or with anatomy in mind - which means it could also quite easily be stencilled after running an image through a few filters or by taking something from any ready-to-ink design. Especially with AI art, there's no real need for most tattoo artists to develop any skills beyond holding the tattoo gun.

No idea why so many people who can afford better have ink on them that looks like it might as well be stickered on.

The lawsuit only concerns a tattoo of his mother's name "Gloria" in a swirly font and some stars.
Hardly the Sistene Chapel of stick-and-poke. Pretty sure I could learn to do that shit in a few hours' time. Dude should have just asked me - he really missed out on having a cute li'l hamster buddy for life.

Below is his most complex design (it's on his thigh) though this one's done by Vanessa Aurelia. Still looks too dark, and awkwardly placed like a clunky and oversized sticker. The font seems like a completely seperate thing altogether too. Guess it's true that money can't buy taste.

It's one thing to say you have copyright on the design so other tattoo artists can't just up and use it, and maybe even Bansky can't paint it on a wall, but a completely different thing to say that once it's on some nigger's ass you can never photograph it again without paying royalties.
That's why I kinda liked that lawsuit though. Can't think of more efficient career suicide than being a "celebrity tattoo artist" letigious about claiming copyright over someone else's body.

I made a short little song about the Baby Eating Hell Hounds (TM) with Suno, for a bigger project I'm working on. Even just writing about the ferocious beasts filled me with so much fear, that I had to play my Nintendo Switch in the living room with my wife's boyfriend in order to calm down.

Baby Eating Hell Hounds

BARK! BARK!
[Verse1]
Matthew Prince.
The Prince of Lies.
He will hear boofs.
Until he cries.
[Chorus]
Baby eating hell hounds!
Baby eating hell hounds!
They'll shit everywhere.
They'll give you a scare.
Baby eating hell hounds!
[Verse2]
Born in the deepest pits of the underworld.
These doggies are a menace.
That only a lawsuit can cure.
Beware their adorable savageness.
[Chorus]
Baby eating hell hounds!
Baby eating hell hounds!
They'll shit everywhere.
They'll give you a scare.
Baby eating hell hounds!
[Musical interlude]
They'll shit everywhere.
They'll give you a scare.
Baby eating hell hounds!
Baby eating hell hounds!
Baby eating hell hounds!

Edit: I just realized this is my 1,666th post. That was unintended.

My mic does not go above -6Db and I do not know why. It is not unique to operating system. What could cause this? It's not a program limiter either
Is it a fancy USB mic? Does it have an app to control its settings(Looks like Shure does)? Audio to the computer(which should have adjustable gain in the control panel)?

Hold on, I am consulting the crystal ball right now.

Oh crystal ball, please tell me, what is his full audio setup, from the model of the devices and cables to the software audio stack so I can take a proper guess on what might be the issue.

You may be hardcapped on dB if you have phantom power turned off, but other apps like OBS can interfere and use windows defaults. It's apparently a common issue that faggots never post a solution for, but not enough juice or a wrong setting/setup for the mic is likely. Depends on if you remember exceeding 6dB with your setup before or not, it seems high enough for most podcasting needs.

Shure SM7B on Focusrite2b2 using the Cloudlifter thing

Maxes out at like -6Db no matter what I do.
Bypass the Cloudlifter? Double check that the Phantom 48v feed from the Focusrite to the Cloudlifter is turned on/working?

I heard about that mic when i needed a new one and didn't get it because it stated it needed a preamp and i had no idea wtf that was. Could that be the issue needing that preamp thing?

It could be that the 48V phantom power is not enough to elevate the mic above -6Db. That's what I was thinking but no searching turned up anything fruitful.

Should be milliamps, even if the focusrite is making 48v from USB there should be no issues. Toggle the 48v and see how the resulting gain changes. Could be a 48v out failure, Cloudlifter issue or maybe not enough 48v. Did it ever work?

Without the 48V enabled literally no sound comes through, it's mandatory.

Fuck Creative, they deserve to go bankrupt for what they did to Aureal. Nowadays you have a gigantic market of USB audio interfaces, and Null just so happens to use Focusrite. He doesn't use the onboard audio nor any sort of PCIe expansion cards. Also, if you want a good sound card, Topping DX1 is probably the best bang for the buck for a home listening DAC+AMP combo.

There's no point in paying Creative anymore, they were the king when they were the only option on the market, which is something they kept by doing shit like suing Aureal into bankruptcy and buying them out so that no one could rival them. Fuck them, and if you still pay for Creative products in 2024, you're a nigger.

Only thing I've found is a couple people saying turn phantom power OFF. Sounds fucking wrong, but it'll take 3 seconds to try.

Ignore, you tried that.
