He wants to fight Elon's Twitter, but still wants the dopamine from retweets and likes.

A very odd state of affairs where his twitter page is just him reposting Zuckerberg website posts.

New video.

I find it odd how you can make a video about French centralization without discussing the complete destruction of France's regional cultures and languages. It was a very traumatic process that involved forcibly sending kids to boarding schools and intentionally impoverishing non-compliant regions.

Havent checked on Kraut for a while, assumed he went off the deep end. This is amazing that hes adopting the same position as Alex Caraballo on Stonetoss. Same guy who called Roger Waters an Antisemite for the nazi pig blimp and anti zionism, is calling stonetoss a nazi.

I'm sure that editor is going to be thrilled to work with Kraut again in the future considering this delay in payment.
99% of the value added proposition of being a YouTuber is the fucking video editing. Who does Kraut think he is now, an author/voice actor?
I recall a couple years ago seeing Kraut talking about a Korean countryball drawer disappearing off the internet due to conscription and stating how important he was for the community (of people drawing flags onto balls). I wouldn't be surprised if Kraut farms out a lot of his drawings.

This is cause he became a economic communist and drafted a workers manifesto which is on his discord where he explained how hes going to reinvest the money from the videos and pay all the 5 editors he has, well had at the time. Now hes run out of money cause nobody wants to see his faggoty videos.

Reading 5 books then summarizing them in a 2 hour long video is hard work!

The average audiobook is 8-11 hours long, that's around 300 pages. A 2 hour long video is around 50 pages or 25k words. Kraut does NOT do any original research. You WILL learn more and faster by going through Kraut's citations. Without the polandballs, his videos would just be history articles with audio, and very few people would listen to that. I know that research, writing, then editing takes a long time, and then doing video editing on top of that takes even more time, but the fact that Kraut is either unwilling or unable to learn the technical skills required to make polandball himself is astonishing. You can make polandball with a mouse and paint dot net. Most people who make polandball comics do it that way. But if you wanted something higher quality, you could buy a shitty wacom drawing tablet and get more or less the same results faster.

I don't know for a fact someone else does his Polandballs, I just thought it weird that he commented about someone else going off the internet in one of his videos and it makes me suspect he's farming it out since he's already farming out editing. They're Polandballs... How is there a community centered around drawing such basic things, and why was Kraut paying someone in the community with exposure?

This honestly triggers my 'tism, so let's try and figure out how a fucking Polandball video managed to bankrupt Kraut.
The only financial numbers that we have for sure are his patreon numbers, so he pulls $2,882 every month for sure. (this is actually trending down this year according to Graphtreon)

Now for YouTube revenue, which I can't get as accurately into as there's quite a spread on ad rates depending on the type of audience. According to Socialblade, Kraut's viewership is trending down, so that does make calculations difficult, (although that could explain why he couldn't afford to keep that editor going lol)
1714037582409.png
Now, Socialblade calculates revenue at a CPM (Clicks per 1000) at a rate of $0.25-$4 by default, however, searching Youtube CPM per niche leads to a variety of articles which argue that CPM for Educational Videos is about $10. I do rather doubt that Kraut is making that amount personally, but let's be charitable here and roll with that.
Based on that, and the weekly viewship for 2024, we get the following:
1714040672765.png
Now, that ain't too bad, granted I'm suspicious his actual CPM number, but he's likely pulling in around $4k a month from the channel, combined with his $2882 a month from his patreon. HOWEVER, let's not forget sponsorship dollars. Kraut has produced three videos this year, and two of them are sponsored. Now this is the part that probably has the least grounding, but from a youtuber that I know who pulls a similar viewership to Kraut, the rates seem to fluctuate around $500-$1000 per video, so let's assume that the two videos have maybe pulled about $1200 in sponsor dollars combined.
So factoring everything together, combining the YouTube at $11,081.16 in 2024 (YouTube adrevs only go out at the end of the month I think, so I won't include April), the patreon at $8,720 in 2024 (Not sure if the April payment has gone out yet, haven't factored in here), sponsorships at $1200, that's about $21001 so far this year.

Now, for expenses, Kraut has mentioned in his Danube video that he lives in Vienna, Google tells us that the cost of living in Vienna are around $1078.6 monthly, excluding rent. Now, I don't know if Kraut does rent or not (I'm going to assume he does, so that's another around $1000-700 monthly that's gone, according to google again). Outside of his book expenses that should be the main monthly expenses, and we don't know how many books he acquires monthly and such.
With that out of the way, that's around $5000 a month leftover on average this year, but in March of this year with Youtube revenue down to $2288 and patreon at $2875, (French Centralisation Video has a sponsor so let's assume an additional $600 too) that'd be around $3913 (taking out $1850 for expenses).
Now the big question is how much of an expense editing is, and unfortunately we don't know how Kraut pays his editors, and online research puts the rate all over the place. The polandball genre is difficult to get an exact figure on as well, because the edits are relatively simple in technical stance, but if the editor is also doing the drawings, and has to report back to Kraut as he may want them to contain additional info and the like. That's going to make things more expensive.
The most common figure I see online for video editing speed is around a hour per minute, and assuming Kraut pays around the minimum rate for a video editor ($20 an hour), and assuming the Polish foreign policy video is going to be an hour or so long, ($20 x 60 hrs) that's around $1200 for the entire video, which should be well within Kraut's monthly budget. Now, I suspect that Kraut's videos take longer per minute due to the drawing part, so if we assume 2 hours per minute, perhaps $40 an hour, ($40 x 120 hours) that brings us to $4800 in total, which would explain Kraut running out of money. However, the Polish Foreign policy video has been in progress for multiple months (although we don't know when the editing started) so one would imagine that Kraut would have put aside money to pay for it on an ongoing basis.
To be fair, Kraut has been slowly losing viewship and patreon this year, It does somewhat make sense how the money has declined to the point where an editor isn't a viable expense. Legitimately though, why the fuck would you even get an editor in the first place, it seems like such a cash sink, there's likely an amount of lost productivity due to Kraut giving notes and feedback that he wouldn't have to if he just made it himself in the first place, and as mentioned before it's Polandball so does the visual appeal even really matter that much beyond a certain point?

In conclusion: There is a pathway to Kraut not making enough to pay his editor, and I feel I'm rather charitable with his Youtube revenue. But as mentioned prior it seems stupid he has an editor to begin with.
I will also freely admit I've probably missed something but the 'tism is starting to wear off so call out if I missed anything huge.

No Kraut those are not african women sent in to manufacture arms. Those are school girls. Also they are in a special economic zone not a arms manufacturing plant. Said zone is far away from Ukraine's firing range. It is hard to tell if Kraut is being malicious or just dumb. I assume the latter since Kraut seems to show this on a habitual level.

the reason Europeans can't build the Silicon Valley it's because all of the intelligent people of the world don't wanna be in Europe with its ridiculous tax code and it's regulations that crush business no one wants half of the money stolen by the state so they go elsewhere also estonians is a country of 2 million people only one state in the United states has a lower population than that and that's Alaska

These ones, yes. I believe this photo comes from an RBC news report about Alabuga Polytech, though it might have appeared in some press release earlier.

Kraut must have seen the WSJ article from the 28th of May. I cannot look at it myself because neither archive.today nor Wayback Machine bypasses its paywall, but I suspect most of it is old news.

Protokol, a Russian online publication, published a report last year asserting that Alabuga Polytech students are being coerced into taking part in drone manufacture. The report is quite long, originally in two parts, with a third one added later: one, two, three.

On the 2nd of April, a Ukrainian drone hit an Alabuga Polytech student dormitory. The supposed target was a drone manufacturing facility nearby.
