My field is male dominated so I'm friendly and respectful to my mostly male team, and even hoped to make some new friends since I'm in an unfamiliar country. I struck a nice conversation with an older male coworker who is married and has kids (slightly higher odds that he's not a complete weirdo), he even showed me pictures of them all together, very cute family.

The whole team went out for some drinks and this guy starts telling me we should go to another place *wink wink* and how he's so attracted to me, wife and kids be dammed. I fucking started working here less than a month ago. I just kept thinking about his poor wife making dinner at home and tucking the kids into bed while this scrote was hitting on a coworker he literally just met. I hate men's seeming inability to casually befriend women, plus the absolute disappointment of thinking I made a friend when I'm by myself in a foreign country.
