Mad at the Internet (MATI) Archive Project - Archiving all the streams hosted by or involving Dear Sneeder

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
All hands on deck, red alert. The Bad at Video Games channel has been taken down apparently. I am 99.95% certain I have everything archived locally but I'm not on my main computer right now, can anyone else confirm they have copies? There's an archive.org backup from June last year here. I have a bad feeling because although I'd bet everything I own that I locally backed them up I can't find a complete copy of everything online. I'm travelling to a work thing right now so if anyone can confirm they have backups you'd be soothing my weary soul, should be back later (around 10 hours time). In particular the Soma playthrough is missing online.

EDIT: I checked preservetube and most seem to be there, thank Allah. https://preservetube.com/channel/UCya5iVFe1JJZYJooGcXXuGA/videos

Apologies for double post. A few people have reached out via Twitter and DMs, between that and the archives made on PreserveTube and Archive.org I think we have everything covered. I had planned to do stuff with the archive this weekend, but I also have next week off of work - I should be able to finish the archive during my vacation.

If anyone wants to help out with the archive, Null needs a summary of what news stories and cows were featured in each episode that is marked with just the title and date - something like April 19th 2024 DSP, Jonathan Yaniv, Rekieta health concerns, and Matthew Prince dog case, Discord database leak, IRS. Plus anything that stands out from that stream. Personally I'd like timestamps but I think Null just wants a basic idea of what happened each stream so he can give them an appropriate title, thumbnail, description, etc. for mati.live. The more detail the better I think. No worries if you aren't able to help, I understand shit gets in the way (trust me, he asked me to do this like 6 months ago). Thanks in advance for anyone that helps.

Might be able to feed the transcript through another AI and see what pops out. There's some nice sample code I might try.

That would be awesome, share what you can about the process. I think YouTube transcripts are available for all the videos on Mati Archive #404.

Well, I'm just going to use my transcripts, since I already have them.

Not doing so well so far though:
Sure! Here is a summary of the episode in three paragraphs and a brief description of all the people mentioned:

The episode centers around a streamer named Tipster, who is known for his controversial content and has been banned from several platforms. He recently set himself on fire outside a courthouse, and there are differing opinions on whether it was a pro-Trump or Palestine statement. The streamer H3H3 invited Tipster to do a toast at the Streamies, a popular streaming awards show, which caused controversy.

The episode also mentions several other people, including Ethan Klein, who is a popular streamer and the creator of the Streamies; Kingapol, who is a viewer who comments on the stream; Gormless Wonder, who is another viewer with a unique perspective on Tipster's actions; and Chao, who is a person mentioned in the context of prayer.

Overall, the episode is focused on the controversy surrounding Tipster's actions and the reactions of other streamers and viewers to them. It touches on themes of popularity, fame, and the impact of online actions on real life.
Sure! Here's a summary of the episode and a brief description of the people mentioned:

Summary: The streamer, Josh, is discussing various topics with his community, including suicide, self-immolation, and a controversial streamer named DarkSidesPhil (DSP). He also mentions a drama alert link and a pizza money donation.

People mentioned:

* Josh: The streamer who is hosting the stream and discussing various topics with his community.
* DarkSidesPhil (DSP): A controversial streamer who was playing RPG games in February despite his community voting for him to play other games.
* TwinkleTard: A viewer who donated $100 to Josh's stream and left a message.
* MetaArchiver: Someone who archives Josh's streams and provides them to the community.
* Supreme Need: A viewer who donated $500 to Josh's stream and mentioned something about underage hormone treatment or puberty blockers.
* Octavia sales rep: A viewer who donated $200 to Josh's stream and promised a juicy super chat on Friday.

I may have to check out a paid model.

This may be the wrong place to post this, so if it is I do apologize. I was looking for the introduction song that was repeatedly played at the beginning of the May 21, 2024 show. The lyrics said something about autism, being hated etc. I searched and listened to the archive of the stream on YouTube as well as on Rumble, but the song was omitted. Is there somewhere else I can find it? I appreciate any guidance in the right direction.

If you were watching on Rumble, it might have been Mad At The Internet by FederalAmericanGovernment, which plays on repeat before the stream starts. It's technically not part of the stream, so it wouldn't be in the archive.

Who the fuck are the retards arguing the only way for people to get over depression is going to therapy and taking meds?

Im not even one of the people that say meds are bad all the time. But specifically when it comes to depression. I promise anyone thay your biggest help is changing how you think, and start that by changing your actions. Antidepressants wont change your life, and if your life doesnt change and you can't learn things like gratitude and humility. Then the however many sessions of therapy you take won't matter.

Only YOU can change how you think and feel. Talking to a therapist is literally just a facade of actual self improvement.

Sorry went in my notifications and didnt pay attention i accidentally posted in this one and not the actual mati thread going to post it in the right place. If any mod wants to delete it.

Does anybody have a complete torrent listed anywhere or a singular archive that can be downloaded all in one place? If not I'd be more than happy to make one, just don't want to waste the effort downloading everything if it already exists.

I think the biggest problem is not the data itself, it's getting a good, solid, canonical list of all the episodes and where they are.

I'm trying to do this with the transcriptions of each episode since once I have them downloaded I can have it compare text to see which episodes are the same, or cut off, or part one, etc.
For example VK is just "Live_bunchofnumbers" and there's no additional data*. So I ended up downloading them all and comparing them so I had a list of VK URLs and titles. Then some of the VK files I didn't have from another source so I had to hunt them down to find the title and match them up.

I've been downloading an correlating, and fixing my code and downloading and correlating for way too long now, but I'm getting closer to having a json file someone could use to get most of the episodes from the places they're available.

* I lied, there is additional data in the form of "Upload Date" which may or may not match the date in the filename of other sources, let's see how this works.

this will be the last time, i promise, where i ask where that excel sheet is of all the stream names.

i had a major compu failure and didn't save the googledocs things and i fucking hate myself for it.

I enjoyed that stream you guessed were a guest on. Great job.

I disagree with those two about something though. I can't remember what the situation was exactly, but it they were talking about how conservatives doing the same thing to the left as they were doing was fine. To me. That is a shitty way to think about things. If you can't take the high road on stuff, the. You are no better than they are, and it will just keep fostering more animosity.

I'm fairly sure at this point, that anger is what the far left wants. Accelerationism. It's clear to me, at least a certain subset of them, just want to keep the fighting up, and push it to the boiling point. If not to destabilize America, at the very least to be able to say, "see the right were bad just like we said".

Edit: fixing typo
