This is why Phil is such a fascinating specimen.

He is, in his own words, the Internet's whipping boy. 99% of the people who are aware of him hate him because of all the lies and slander, again, according to his words. This (and not his laziness) has denied him the opportunity to expand and attract more viewers.

At the same time, all hundreds of views he receives are from genuine fans who are here to watch his deep and meaningful content. They are not even hundreds but thousands, just spread across the different channels and types of games. And, of course, all of them pitch in to support. Phil is, after all, a successful man who is definitely not supported mainly by several obsessed individuals.

Its hilarious how he flips between the two depending on how his day is going (how much money he gets during his stream). Even more hilarious, he not only lies and flip flops all the time but seems to genuinely believe what he says.

The delusions are just getting deeper and better. The newest one, how gaming companies creating RPGs are hurting his channel has to be a sign that the guy is getting deeper and deeper into lala land.

This is particularly funny because just recently he was talking about how he wouldn't be surprised if Joon the King ends up thinking he's a piece of shit and an asshole, but I guess that wouldn't be his fault, either? I mean, a guy makes a documentary about him and reaches the conclusion he's a scumbag, but somehow that doesn't mean he is one? I know his coping about that is that since no one ever makes positive compilations about him, then it looks like all he ever does is bad, but that only makes it worse and makes him look like a lazy content creator since he can't even be bothered to highlight his own good moments.

he can't even be bothered to highlight his own good moments.
The only good moments in his book are the ones when he receives money. But making a compilation of his tips is counterproductive because it goes against the narrative that he is constantly broke and needs support. Plus it'll take actual work editing stuff, so obviously its off the table.

I liked Phil’s comment about how the REALLY INTERESTING documentary would be one about his trolls.

I think he’d get a shock seeing how normal and productive most of them are, and dismiss it as some kind of fake news.

What’s special about Phil is the combination of narcissism, ego, assholery and dishonesty that leaves normal, well balanced people sputtering with rage after watching 15 minutes of him.

It’s truly remarkable. There are serial killers out there that don’t leave people in stroke inducing rage in the way that Phil does.

Anyone who watches DSP for more than a couple of minutes will agree on the fact that he’s a real piece of shit. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it.

Having a polite conversation with Phil definitely requires some amount of willpower. This is why that Side Scrollers interview will remain in history - to keep being polite for hours while interacting with the manchild is way harder than it looks.

I actually find it amusing how even long-time detractors sometimes blow up and they are only listening to him.

Long time detractors know he is full of shit, his stories are a lie and probably heard a million times. Its different than hearing them for the first time.

Lets no pretend that interview Phil is the same as streaming Phil. Streaming phil is in his safe place, king of dents with beyond North Korea level of censorship cracking the whip to be given money because that's what hes owed. Interview Phil is a coward desperate to be likeable and normal, lots of fake chuckles and no snorting, trying to manipulate you to like and agree with him.
What I would give for streamer Phil, with his snorting and his arrogance and mental illness to talk to someone who can actually respond to him directly. A confrontational conversation with someone who understands phil to call him out and not a soft conversation like the interview was.

Phil as always makes it like someone else has to do it for him for his benefit, if he wanted to he could look into some of the more weird trolls and detractors and do content on it but he's just to fucking lazy and i dare say fucking to stupid to even make something coherent.

The other thing Phil made the claim detractos only hate him on youtube to make money which is obviously retarded because there isn't a couple hundred or thousand YouTube channels just to make a penny off detracting, Phil is really good at pin pointing the one retarded take and ranting about the "dumb shit" and focusing on that while ignoring the valid shit that is quietly banned.

Partly true. His long-winded rants about how detractors have hurt him are also present in his streams. And so is his complaining about how bad his situation is. The major difference was that Phil agreed with Craig and Adam instead of calling them morons and idiots (this, of course, changed when he was alone in his safe place and realized how bad he looked).

Sidescrollers don't keep tabs on Phil so they could tolerate him more than someone who does. Phil thought he would have a "fair shake" if he found someone to interview him who wasn't a long time detractor or follower, but in typical Phil fashion he fucked it up. And even though Adam and Craig didn't know whom exactly they were dealing with, they both picked rather quickly on why Phil had so much hate. Adam especially, could not believe Phil was a real person and you could tell by his facial expressions. I don't think Adam has met anyone quite like Phil and that says a lot given all the guests he hosted on TomCast.

They spend enough on groceries for a big family.

I'm guessing it's filled with years old expired shit they're too lazy to throw out.

I bet you Phil always goes for the brand name shit, because nothing says mahture, successful ahdult than eating Lay’s instead of the store brand.

They probably also buy fruits and vegetables that never get touched, and Phil is the type to always go for the precut shit with a smug smile, because who has the time to peel a carrot or slice lettuce.

Khat is less of a grocery snob, and will eat anything that isn’t nailed down.

One, new facet of Phil that has emerged this week is this victim narrative. I think he had a lightbulb moment when he was talking about not being a protected class. He has now triple-downed on it.

One interesting thing he has slipped too is that Khet plays games downstairs. She used to play them in Leanne's office but I bet him screaming like a retard just pissed her off also explains the noise-cancelling headphones.

Yeah, he also did it when talking about the Argentinean memberships "No one else has this problem! But Phil isn't allowed have what anyone else has!!!" Conveniently ignoring the fact that no one else has a problem for a simple reason: getting additional memberships is good! It's only a problem for DSP because they gunk up his gifted memberships pipeline and fake organic growth.

He's such a clown.

Phail has admitted to throwing out veggies that they didn't use that week and just buying the same amount next week. With how wasteful he is that story checks out. He probably chucks everything down the food disposal. The microwave meals are most likely the only thing they buy that ends up getting eaten.

How does their fridge look like?

So i started playing Street Fighter 6 because of Phil, im only using the so called "low tier" characters he used, Phil full of shit, turst me when i say its a skill issue with Phil.
Phil is terrible at all fighting games. He will not stop pigsplaining arcades in the 90s, which is hilarious because he continually will dick-ride himself as a fake fan of Mortal Kombat too, to try and lamely fence-sit the classic title divide of the genre that caused it to break out back then. When he was playing MK1 before rage/wage-quiting he couldn't trigger a fatality sequence, despite literally reading the inputs to do right before failing it.

This is because despite being a fan since the 90s if you listen to him oink about it to beg, Mortal Kombat controls have always been distinctly different in terms of the pace of the entries needed to have the game trigger moves compared to it's genre main rival in his precious world warrior series. How Phil can be a fan of both franchises and have never learned this control input difference between the two games' play engines 30 years ago on now, is left for you to realize he's lying about being both a fan and any good at fighters. Chat pointed out he was attempting the sequence too fast while he whined it was broken and the game sucked for not giving him his fatality animation to snake hiss at, he sneered at the suggestion he was fucking it up, repeated the critique of his shitty controller entry sequence with a high pitched feminine smug "Huuhhh," you know the type he does whenever he's caught not knowing his ass from his elbow about everything, on the end. Then tried the sequence again but this time with a slower controller entry pace, and the fatality triggered. Phil then immediately copped to being exposed as a mouth drooling moron who sucks at Mortal Kombat who was mashing the controls in too fast so likely missed at least one direction button previously.

It is the same with his world warrior-centric favorite series, he thinks he knows, but he's just not any good at anything except lying to himself about it while overdosing on the copium tanks.

This is one of the few little things I'd actually be curious to hear about if we somehow got an insider look into Phil's life. It's just one of those baffling Phil'isms that I have a hard time wrapping my head around. It's on the level of "I'm not going to live/rent/sell my CT condo and just keep paying for it" money wasting decisions. But at least with that, I know it stems from Phil being incredibly lazy. I don't understand why he goes out of his way on his precious day off to every week buy food he won't eat/cook and very clearly has no interest in eating/cooking. Obviously we don't have a look into his fridge, but when he talks about buying groceries it sounds like he hasn't changed up his routine. And while there's always the possibility of it being a lie with Phil, it feels like a meaningless thing for Phil to lie about because you'd think if he was going to lie about food, he'd just say him or Khet cooked something amazing instead of going with a lie where he's just wasteful and lets food rot. Plus, we've seen countless examples of him being wasteful by ordering huge amounts of food, only eating some of it, then tossing the rest. And it adds up with his garbage disposal being broken.

I dunno if it's just part of the adult LARP where he feels like he has to go out and buy grownup food even though he has no interest in cooking it and gets way more excited for whatever fast food is available on Doordash. Or maybe he's such a creature of habit that he basically mimics the buying habits of his parents? Or he has nothing else going on that he genuinely gets excited for grocery shopping? We know he has poor impulse control and likes owning things, even things he never intends to use, but the fact that it actively creates more work for him on top of wasting money just goes against the usual Phil order of things.

Some of these things become easier to explain once you consider his autistic obsession with his schedule.

He has one day off. Everything that needs to be bought for the house is bought on the day off. Imagine he doesn't buy cherry juice on his day off. This means cherry juice can not possibly be acquired until the next day off. That's just how the schedule works.

No, he can't get in his car and drive to a store less than 10 minutes away. No, his wife can't do it either. It's not written in the schedule.

His life is full of such self-inflicted bottlenecks, which he bases on the idea of how things "have to be done". His parents or someone at school told him things need to work a certain way and he's just doing them like that.

He has plenty of time to shop on any given day, plenty of time to cook, plenty of opportunities to shift around his schedule and balance between free time and streaming, but he has convinced himself that things need to work a certain way. Just because they do.

I'd call him autistic if I knew more about autism, but until then I'll just call him a retard.

He probably chucks everything down the food disposal.
He admitted to that in my favorite DSP clip of all time, the Valentines Day garbage disposal disaster. He was putting the previous weeks food in the garbage disposal to make way for the groceries he just bought, and he had to stuff it down the garbage disposal because Washington State only allows him to throw away one teeny tiny bin of garbage per week.
