The only thing we can do is pray that people start noticing more things on the info and narrative apparatus around them and who controls them and why.

So seeing a Republican's candidate for President say fuck it and decide he'd rather be covered in shit and win than be pristine and lose with dignity... well, it warms my soul.

To be fair, Trump has always embraced the ethos of getting his hands dirty if he needs to.

I mean he comes from my home state, it comes with the territory.

And in the last one republicans refused to crack down when cities were burned and this one republicans are going full nazi crackdown over nothing. Always picking the worst thing to do.

The only communists who have done so are the sort of commie who has long been ostracized from them for criticizing the Ukraine, idpol, and other popular far-left causes and thinking Antifa should be protesting globalism instead of Fenty Floyd or hobos getting booted out of their encampment.

These commies will never do so. They're absolute NPCs and all the media needs to do is get a new narrative going. Maybe insert some Nazis into their protests (the same Nazis who show up everywhere it seems), maybe groom a guy to shoot up a synagogue, maybe create another St. Floyd martyr.

Side Tangent: it's amazing Jimmy Carter is still alive

back in summer 2023 there were news headlines saying that Jimmy Carter was in hospice care and "might not last the night". I figured "oh damn, guess he's dying any day now".

then a couple months later, he was still alive! Then there were news headlines again that he might die very soon

...and then, news broke that his wife Rosalind Carter died! It was widely said that he'll probably follow his wife-for-many-decades into the afterlife very soon, as what happens to many old couples who've been together for that long

now, months later...he's almost 100 years old, and still alive. If he makes it to his birthday in October he'll be the first President to reach 100. Note that he outlived Henry Kissinger who is close to his age. He outlived George HW Bush who was born in the same year (1924) for over 5 years, maybe 6. I remember back in Obama's first term seeing people speculate who would live longer, and multiple people thought HW Bush would outlive Carter.

I truly believe that at least part of him realizes this already, which is why he's spending the majority of his energy in fighting off those efforts instead of running a political campaign with policy planks and building up a team of people for his next term. The harder they go at him, the more they undermine the very system that they stand on. As long as they own the system, he can never get in. But if he makes them destroy the system's legitimacy as much as they possibly can by wiping their ass all over the rule of law and the constitution in a fit of pique, then he might survive the aftermath.

There's no way to drain the swamp. It has to be cleansed with fire at this point.

I suspect if he's building a team he's keeping it confidential until closer to the elections or after. Anyone he announces will be subject to harrassment, and if they defraud the election then those people's careers are hosed. He's probably talking to people privately but won't make anything public until it's safe to do so.

He better not die of natural causes. It's gotta be suicide with a note left behind about his peanuts withering.
