One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

As for Nami and Usopp, of course Luffy is going to be the one to deliver the knockout blow, but I’m just hoping that they get SOMETHING that lets them close the gap with Robin and Brook, let alone the monster trio.
We know for a fact that Usopp should be able to use Observation Haki, Wano should have been that moment when he realized that he was more or less dead weight and he needs to train. Luffy could theoretically get him started on using Haki. I really hope he spends his time in Elbaf learning to use Haki. As for Nami, she has Zeus now but it's sort of that same thing, she needs to get some Haki training in.

I hope Begapunk is not really too specific because ‘the world will sink’ could either be via Imu or more likely via Luffy at the end of the series.

The WG being messed up because Vegapunk does not teally know how or why it will happen will be very funny.
And how can Luffy cause the world to sink?

Breaking the Red Line. The thing people having saying he’ll do since forever.
The entirety of it? That seems a little absurd and incredibly time consuming. I could see Luffy punching a large hole right through the Red Line underneath Mary Geoise in order to destroy the city out of utter disgust for what the Celestial Dragons do and thereby fulfilling Madame Shyarly's prediction of "A man in a straw hat will destroy Fish-Man Island" but that surely wouldn't be enough stone to displace that much water.

There does seem to be a lot of stone. And I mean an astrominmical fucktin of it so I could totaly see it being enough. Like it’s what from the sea floor all the way up to the holy land all the way round. Way more than enough. Most islands are not that high up after all. There’s a reason the Ragnarock paralells are so frequent. Red line is set to break and flood everything.

i have always thought about it like this. the nika fruit seems to be based around freedom. in its normal state the user is free to do whatever they imagine they can do. luffy was told he ate the gum gum fruit and that he was made of rubber. so when he fights he does so thinking his body is made of rubber which is how he does all his attacks. in the fruits awakened state this effect of freedom begins to effect everything around the user.

i do not think devil fruits are so much related to evolution but rather they give their users freedom but with limits. luffy is the only one who has true freedom he is just unaware of it.

their is most likely an actual gum gum fruit out there but i imagine it was hidden somewhere to ensure nobody would realize the nika fruit was actually not the true gum gum fruit.
Remember, when luffy first ate the thing his body turned to rubber before he even knew what it was he ate. There isn't anything to suggest he wanted to be rubber either, nor did it look like he could control it well.

I think when gear 5th reveal happened, some characters mentioned that Nika's body had . rubber-like properties.
The Elders did. Nikka’s body is rubber because that allows freedom.

Speaking of Nikka. The fact they call it the Gum Gum Fruit to hide it is one of my favorite things.

Due to Gums being part of the mouth and teeth which you use to smile.

That’s my favorite little trick the World Government and by extention Oda does. The badguys so far have never lied or completely hid anything. It’s hidden in such a way where it’s obvious but no one knows where to look to spot it.

I truly believe now based on spoilers for the latest chapter when talking to Clover the Elders spoke the truth about the weapons, Clover just did not know enough to comprehend they had future knowledge.

I like that Vegapunk either knew Kizaru was going to kill him or knew the WG were and in case of the WG could be saying ‘the people trying to stop me might have there reasons, I do not know enough about them to know. But that’s because I honestly like the idea that the WG is trying to do good but doing it in the most evil way possible.’

Also lol at the Elders blamming Akainu for messing up with Robin. Aokiji literally escapes blame fir everything despite this while mess being his fault.

Lmao

Also why does York not know where it is? All memories are backed up to Records. She should know.

I would not be surprised if there are multiples snails and one of them might be inside York without her knowing anything about it, like she swallowed it while eating lol. Who knows, Vegapunk might have made sure some of its personnalities do not get all its knwoledge despite saying otherwise

That would be funny as hell and totally in character for how the Vegapunks were said to act. I hope it’s true. And totally in keeping for One Piece. Literally the only reason the good guys win and the badguys lose is sheer dumb luck and idiocy from both sides

Turns out the big secret is global warming is real.
Please god, don't let it just be that.

The chapter itself was fine, though I'm still having a hard time seeing the Gorosei as a proper threat. I've been rereading Whole Cake Island, Big Mom is fucking terrifying during the whole ordeal for the most part. When it was just Saturn I could hope to get some of that vibe going, but with all 5 there and failing to stop that cocktease of a stream? Well, it's not the greatest first impression.

Also, guess we have remembered Robin is there for once. Hot take, Chopper should have been the last full time strawhat and someone like Robin should have just been a recurring character.

And while I'm speaking of Whole Cake Island. Sanji was a gigantic letdown till they escaped and his "I want to live" moment felt like a wet fart compared to Nami and Robin, but it did make me remember the true GOAT of the years of Sanji

My boy Bege

The world sinking into the sea is not all that crazy after seeing what happened to Lulushia and wondering for years why it is there's so much ocean and people are cut off from each other due to the Red Line. We've had post-apocalyptic vibes for a long time, yet there's still plans on sinking the entire world probably because it's the only way to stop all Devil Fruit users and ensures only Mary Geoise survives.

('Course, they're run by a bunch of spoiled brats who can't perform physical labor, so they're going to starve anyway lol.)

Though now I'm thinking that the World Government must've known about this, suggesting it's their plan all along, or this was naturally going to happen and so there's an actual time frame for when it'll happen and the end is nigh. But instead of saving the whole populace, they're going to just save themselves and go back to the Moon.

Damn you, Golden Week!
