Exactly. The bias is the big obvious glaring one in all these 'regret' studies, which is the huge proportion of troons 'lost to follow-up', i.e. the ones avoiding the gender doctors, i.e. the ones where you obviously would find ALL the regretters. It's an extremely problematic methodological bias.

Tony has gotten a LOT of mileage out of the word 'pick' to hammer on about how Cass met with 'DeSantis picks' as if DeSantis is the very devil himself and anyone he chooses is an obvious anti-trans demon, none of which is necessarily true. But this much-touted meeting with these 'picks' is pretty much a nothing burger, although he's clinging onto it to try to pretend there is actually some evidence that Cass was biased before the report. But that's obviously not the case. He thinks Cass is 'biased' and 'anti-trans' BECAUSE the contents of the Cass report are not 'yeah, trans is totes real and we should spend all the resources we have transing all the kids for free on demand from age 3'.

He does the same for any group that has an unfavorable conclusion about transition. Transgender Trend is an 'anti-trans hate group' because a bunch of parents of trans ID-ed kids got together, talked and shared their experiences, and came to the conclusion that mutilating their much-loved but confused children was not going to be the answer to their problems.

The case is awful. The surgeon/author relied solely on the mentally compromised patient's self diagnosis and did no independet testing, evaluation, or diagnosing. Just took the patients word for it and chopped her boobs off and removed her utereus.
