Yes, as in throwing up and having her mind enter fight or flight mode for no discernible reason. I've gotten those too a few times years ago so I know what they feel like.
I used to get them back when I was a child. Now I only get them when I overdose on my meds. Those are not fun. You and your wife have my sympathy. They can go away for no reason though, so just hang in there and who knows things might get better

I only ever got them after going on weed benders when I was younger. I don't do that shit anymore needless to say.

We're just bf and gf for now and I'm in no rush to enter marriage in this day and age. It's just nice having context and closure on her mental issues. She was telling the truth all along.

What's this coquette vs siren rivalry about? There seems to be some new civil war amongst you women.

Turn on stove
Stove become black

Glass stovetop? Is the glass clean?
Coil stove, are the coils clean? Anything in the bowls?

I cook with casted iron
Do you allow grease to overflow the pan or liquids to drip over the pan? Do you cook with fats and heat them until they sizzle off the pan? Are there fats or liquids stuck to the bottom of your pan? Have you tried stainless steel instead or a nonstick/aluminum cookware piece?
The black stuff has to come from somewhere. Either the bottom of your pan or from the food you are cooking.

The top of your range is designed to be able to handle the maximum amount of heat generated by the heating element without being damaged, so it won't blacken on its own.
