General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Day 1 of Phase Wars was also a shitshow. There's no way to figure out if someone in SAR was on your team or not, so there was tons of team killing going on. In Fall Guys they figured out to have players use specific colors. They should have had specific animals for SAR.
Holy [shit can't wait to watch that dizzy comentary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP-vTj5enOA watching Ali live

These phase wars Team Blaze streams have been really good.

I didn't really have any expectations, but it's all the fun of a tournament and the fun of the sheer insane energy of these five.
The headache i've had for the past two days have been worth it. Apparently Sakana had to ask team blaze to tone down the lesmaxing. lol

whoever fucking threw at the end on team blaze costing us the win
Sometimes your clutch intentionally throws, other times
they successfully hammer jump the end of the map and win by photo finish. That was amazing.

Edited to add spoiler and remove excessive excitement.

Which of course just leads to its own set of jokes.

That hammer jump was so clutch.

An e-sports JP VTuber named Akane Shigure collapsed on the 24th due to a stroke and died today. She was only 28. Her last stream was 2 days before she collapsed.

"real job" is a boomer meme, nothing you do for money is more "real"
I mean yeah, objectively, but by the same virtue "too afraid to leave the house and talk to people" doesn't magically become a healthy lifestyle just because people start paying you to do it, nor should it warrant any more esteem than your average hiki just because people start paying you to do it. It's cool that they get to make a living now but they're not being incentivized to overcome the things keeping them from a normal life. I feel like you got hung up on the phrase "real job" and missed my point that a lot of these people are the definition of mentally unwell.

I don't really have a point besides remembering to be mindful of that reality when these gremlins are talking in your ear, I guess.

wanting to live in a city with clean streets and a society who respects itself is right wing now?
No. Placing a (seemingly) homogenous ethnostate on a pedestal because it seemingly aligns with your particular brand of right wing politics that blames all of your nation's problems liberal politics and policies regarding immigration is. @Burnt Fish basically already explained it; people look at the glossy, surface level aspects of Japanese society while ignoring how much actual hell it is to live there, and what it actually takes to maintain that glossy, good looking appearance. The people enjoying themselves the most in Japan are those who can limit their interaction with its negative aspects, such as the toxic work culture, and extreme push to conform. A lot of our favorite vtubers, like Pikamee/Henya are people who either had a hard time fitting in Japanese society or straight up couldn't, for whatever reason (for Henya, it was because, among other things, she is Hafu). Vtubing, for them, was a way out of an otherwise wretched life.

"real job" is a boomer meme,
Not in Japan. Culturally, working a real job means working as an office drone, slaving away at a desk. Many so called "NEETS" have jobs, or make money some kind of way, such as by stock trading, or being an entrepreneur, but because they don't have a traditional office job or form of employment, they aren't considered to be really employed by most Japanese people, and this has social ramifications, because being a good, adjusted adult, as far as the Japanese are concerned, means having a "real" job. Good luck getting married, or not having your wife constantly pester you to get a real job, even if you make more than her without stepping one foot in an office. The Japanese have a very narrow view of the world and what a "normal" Japanese person is supposed to do, so being a mal-adjusted NEET has social and personal ramifications for your life.

which of course makes japan looks more attractive right now by simple comparison.
What you're missing is Japan only looks attractive because people only look at the surface level. They don't actually consider all of what it would actually take to live there, or what living there would actually be like. Yes, there is a good and bad side to everything, but many people, whether its right wingers, or weebs, idolize Japan because they overlook or simply don't know about the bad side.

No administrative action has been taken, but please return to the thread's subject matter. Thank you.

Idol is unveiling an new branch.
Dipping into the spanish market, huh.
Besides the two obvious loli bait models: the interesting part is that they poached Meica05. She is an argentinian vtuber who has already 124k subs on youtube and 178k subs on twitch. Before that she was Hina Misora under Wactor but she quit and debuted as this independent persona. Wactor claimed that she breached contract and doxxed her in on of their several statements (if I remember correctly with her ID number and other things).

Menhera NEET weeblord with no connection to her local community goes to glorious Nippon with her Internet friends and has tons of fun, is depressed when she returns home to just her parents and pets. She's an IRL loser, of course she wants to live in the amusement park forever. There's nothing keeping her tied to the US aside from her family. Japan is great to visit and I did tons of things I could never do here in the US but ultimately I have a life here that I wouldn't leave behind for anything. I have family, friends, and a career here. If you don't have any of those things it's easy to just want to leave

But she's so paranoid that I can see her eventually thinking she's gonna get abducted by the Yakuza every time she steps outside because she's the only white girl in the neighborhood. Magic Japanese soil won't fix her problems
Well you summed up Pippas problems pretty well. She needs to make some real world connections around her and get the fuck outside.

Jesus Christ that's so young.
"Cerebral hemorrhage"
Been seeing that happening A LOT with people lately. Toriyama too...

Looks like ina's a trap type? Looks fun to play.

Also surprised mori isnt there, seems like a no brainer choice given her scythe

From what I've caught, I like them. Bijou is my least favorite only because of the zoomer shit. Nerissa I find is the best regarding collabs and her singing is phenomenal. Shiori has higher peaks in content, but can have duller moments too. FuwaMoco are the best overall and their personality can cause type 2 diabetes.
Biboo has the best taste in games though, so I'd rank her second imo.
