Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

Yeah, it really does. It's probably my least favorite topic to discuss irl.
I like to believe most people are sane about it but idfk, you either get the psychotic post birth abortion psychopaths or fundie bible thumpers who think a 13 year old who's been raped should be forced to carry the rape baby to term.

It's all so tiresome.

I thought this had to be Photoshopped, but apparently it wasn't. It's a picture of a 17-year-old girl, presumably in China because that's where it was published, who had a third breast GROWING OUT OF HER BACK. She had an incomplete parasitic twin, and the MRIs show more.

Jesus, that site has a lot of fucked medical conditions

Lowkey, this thread might have single handily made me "pro-choice"

This thread really does showcase the reality of why people need to have abortions. Too many idiots think the only source of “fetal pain” is an abortion, and have zero understanding that “no abortion” can often mean “terrible fucking suffering for both fetus/infant and family.” And the repeal of Roe has pretty clearly demonstrated that making exceptions for fetal anomalies or health of mother does not actually happen when abortion is widely restricted.

Particularly late-term abortions people hate so much. So many awful conditions aren't typically diagnosed until pretty late, plus conforming diagnosis can take additional time.
A one-day-old female baby was born with thoracopagus and omphalocele rupture and died on the sixth day of treatment due to severe complications, showing a poor prognosis.

I would think, yes, death does lead to a poor prognosis.
Abortion would've been the kindest option in this case. I assume it wasn't available here.

Or the mother had little or no prenatal care.

TBH, these conditions aren't always fatal. I know when this man was born, the midwife wanted to smother or drown him, and his parents told them not to do it. I did not know until I read this story that his parents had previously had ANOTHER baby with a parasitic twin, but that one died shortly after birth.

This man lived into his 70s, and when someone formed a punk rock band in the 1990s and called it "Kill Frank Lentini", his grandchildren were less than happy about it. At some point in his life, he found out that the parasitic twin could be safely removed, and he didn't want it done.

This woman did have a duplicate lower body, and a fulfilling life and 5 children regardless.

Apparently she even had 5 children, though aborted her first pregnancy at 19 due to concerns about her health.

Since I know shit like pelvis width, full adult height, body fat, etc doesn't completely finish developing until around mid-20s, I wonder if a few more years was able to make pregnancy safer for her?

From experience, the second you try to explain that you aren't one of the two extremes you will get labeled as one of them anyway and shouted down.

The people who agree with the reasonable stances (abortion shouldn't just be used as birth control but has plenty of cases where it is genuinely the best option, etc) tend to just keep their heads down because you can't really argue with idiots.

I don't feel like I even understand pregnancy or fetal development well enough to really have an opinion on when the cut-off time for abortion should be. I'm fine with there being basically no restrictions on abortion, I'm not sure if my stance would be considered extreme.
