That's Larry Niven's Pierson's puppeteers, except the "third sex" isn't actually the same species, but they implant their young into them like digger wasps.

I'd forgotten about how puppeteers reproduce. Only fictional species I could think of offhand that has three sexes - male, female, incubator - are the Soft Ones from The Gods Themselves. They're a truly inventive creation, wish he'd spent more time on them. (The three sexes fuse into one Hard One after they successfully reproduce. It's a neat concept)

Its something you call men (or anyone I guess but generally men) when they're being fucking idiots, its not restricted to females.

The comments are surprisingly mixed, r/FalloutMemes hasn't been hijacked by troon and pro-troon jannies so they aren't immediately sweeping up genocidal TERF comments like "what the fuck does this have to do with Fallout?" Refreshing to see on Reddit.

Dude I totally understand. I was a tomboy autistically obsessed with Final Fantasy VII and generally related to male characters over female ones just because. If this was going on in 2004, instead of just finding 4chan and wallowing in the mires of SA rip off forums, I likely would have easily fallen into their ideology. Even to this day I get asked if I’m an egg or someone will send me an egg cracking meme and I just block ‘em.

Octavia Butler wrote a trilogy about humans interbreeding with a species with 3 sexes. I read it many years ago and it freaked me out. A little searching tells me it's known as "Lilith's Brood" or Xenogenesis.

I don't actually think we should try to recategorize humans into Male, Female, and Null, but it would still make more sense to me than trans logic. I don't understand how say someone meets someone with Turner syndrome and goes "Ah, since her ovaries never fully developed from not having a second X chromosome, sex is therefore an infinite spectrum, and I who was born male with no chromosomal or genetic abnormalities but now takes copious amounts of estrogen is therefore as much a woman as she." It's funny to me how a few years ago I would see "transgender" activists online getting mad if someone called them "transsexual" because gender is a social construct that can be changed, but of course you can't change sex so "transsexual" is a nonsense word, but now they insist sex is a spectrum so how dare anyone question their self id. Honestly I think the trans movement really overreached with insisting that hormones and surgery actually change their sex, and that more than anything is going to be their downfall.

Yeah, sex and gender were not analogous until the point where that created a barrier to accessing sex segregated spaces, and then suddenly it was. Though sometimes I wonder if it's lying, or if it's that type of post-hoc rationalization that you see a lot, where people adopt the conclusion first and then construct beliefs around what allows that conclusion to be real, taken to the extreme. You know, it's on the same level as that martial arts "master" who claimed to fight with chi energy and had students dropping when he did the Kamehameha pose at them, then got his ass handed to him by an actual martial artist. On some level he had to have known that he was full of bullshit, but he doublethunk himself into believing that he wasn't just faking it but making it. Troons seem to be largely the same phenomenon, a lot of them probably sincerely believe their nonsense and don't even notice when their core beliefs change to justify some new cope
