Deskgum is on the right track. Yellowflash was getting pissy in public about EVS' cover price, which was admittedly dumb. EVS' response, however was an attempt at the total jihad annihilation of YF and EJ.

If EVS would have just complained about YF making their business dealings public, he might have the right to claim victimhood. But everything EVS did in response likes trying to get YF cancelled for the payment agreement YF had with his artist (100% none of EVS' business), and weeks to Trashcasting makes his claim of innocent victim laughable. YF looked like a tard for his whining, but EVS has burned so many bridges and driven away quite a sizeable number of audience members and customers with his response.

YF is a drunk sperg who has a yt following because he is good at tard rangling himself when he comes too, I can respect that. EVS is a narcassist Sociopath who will befriend any one if he can benefit personally. I prefer the drunkards over the sociopaths. EVS is a back stabbing bullshit snake oil salesman who can draw good pictures if some one is supervising him.

The Stream when EVS confronted Dillard Draws reafirmed in my mind EVS is a shit teir human fucking being. The memes of that exchange in this thread about consent prove that point.

EVS is a scumbag, and cyberfrog as good as the art is is a shit tier story about an apocalypse rehashed a million times. Maybe by the time the real apocalypse happens we may have cf3 and rainbow brute in our hands but that is extremely optimistic.

My guess is that a lot of these older guys either don't really know what a complete nightmare retard EVS is, have a very superficial relationship with him, and/or they don't really care, but just see their connection as a useful business opportunity.

In the beginning, EVS was helping to create a viable direct-to-consumer model of selling your comics in a world where the major corporations had blacklisted anybody who wasn't interested in pushing their woke propaganda books. You've got older comic creators who still want to make a living, and EVS was spearheading an indie comic movement with his own established YouTube crowdfunding model. Plus a lot of these guys knew EVS as a long-time industry professional. At the time, it made business sense to ally themselves with him.

I don't think that connection went much deeper for most of these guys. CG started off right and they were getting their books to customers. EVS and Malin used to talk about customer service as key and would scold people for late books. If they didn't turn into useless, lazy degenerates CG never would have gotten a bad reputation. The reason why EVS hates so EJ so much is because he now threatens to do what EVS started only better and competently.

You're right about EJ, the fact he is getting stuff out there and raising the independent comic banner is a good thing for all. The quality will improve over time and he's hiring the right guys with Baron and Dixon, hopefully they can mentor him further. Maybe EVS is jealous people didn't want to write/collab about a stupid robot frog?

Tucci has always been everybody's best friend. He's a life long indy conservative as well as a christian (his wife more so) and due to that he became a 'do not hire' in recent years.

At the same time he knew EVS as a fellow 'conservative' and EVS made a MASSIVE push to get Billy in on CG. It was Billy, naively who would say Darwin Cooke, one of his best friends, would have been CG (based on EVS' definition of good comics without tons of politics and divisiveness). After that Tucci stayed out from CG for a few years before finally crossing over. It's understandable. He's a super talented, conservative and Christian creative who basically was inoffensive. So instead of the Mike Miller treatment he just got blacklisted.

Larry Hama, for example, overrated faggot and sperg hack he is, called Tucci a racist for getting mad at the over reaction to COVID 19 ruining his son's school sport.

I myself hold Tucci and Nolan in similar high regard.

Class acts. EVS for them is a peer and a lifeline, which he knows and crassly exploited.

Talking of which, the last time I posted an update here, Dan Fraga had reached around 1,400 days since opening his Pineapple perception comic campaign.

IIRC, I posted that in early/mid February 2024.

Also IIRC, the campaign opened on April 25th 2020 and was designated ‘in-demand’ June 2020. Fulfilment (again, IIRC) was supposed to be September 2021.

So if all my IIRC are indeed, correct, then a day 1 backer of Fraga’s comic has been waiting approximately 1,473 days for their book (just over 4 years of course)

Off the top of my head, as well as the (in)famous and oft-quoted CG Sistine Chapel comparison, Fraga’s comic is now taking longer than:

- The construction period of 5 of the 7 World Trade Centre buildings; also perilously close to surpassing the construction periods for WTC 1 and WTC 2;

- Construction of the Eiffel Tower (a mere 2+ years);

- The design, tender AND construction of the Empire State Building (altogether 2&1/2 to 3 years depending on source);

- ‘The Last Supper’, another famous religious fresco this time by Leonardo, for the Santa Maria in Milan - admittedly a fraction of the size of the Sistine’s fresco - 3 years according to scholars.

The fucking utter shame upon these grifting scumcunts.

I heard Will say he hadn’t start pages, and it made me sick to the stomach.

I wanna add to this that, despite what you think about Eric July and his writing and whatnot, he's handling his business with a lot more passion and a lot more care and is doing better than anything CG and Ethan himself were able to put together. At the very least he and his company are on time with books and giving consumers a comic that they might find enjoyment out of.

If you want a story about a trinity of heroes fighting crime, you got Alphacore. You want a female superhero that isn't Captain Marvel, you got Yaira. And all the other superheroes that's been building up over the past couple of years will get their time to shine in Eric's Rippaverse, and probably more afterwards. Maybe with their own Spider-Man stand-in or goddamn "Horseman". The point is that no one in CG has gotten close to what EJ has managed to accomplish and that that's entirely on them and on their ringleader of the whole circus.

I'm not sucking of Eric, but I can at east respect him for putting in the hard work that EVS, the so-called King and leader of comicsgate, never will again. When your captain won't put out a comic years after its announcement, what does that say about your whole movement? Why stick with a guy who (keep in mind, worked in the professional comic book space for 30 years) will just make video after video regurgitating the same crap about being the oppressed ones in a world that gives no fucks about them or complaining about some black guy and his comic company instead of challenging his competition? Is it really worth it to stick with a fat lard who will throw a tantrum all because his success is dwindling away and a 30-year-old is reaping the rewards of his time and work?

I never liked CG since the beginning, but now that the curtains have come off I'm happy that day by day this entire meticulous grift is crumbling down and being replace with the very thing that it should've been and has paraded itself to be. This is entirely on EVS and anyone who still thinks its a good idea to stay on the sinking ship with the captain.

I am actually surprised Keung Lee hasn't been more successful. His campaigns have all been kinda "meh" in terms of the money he's brought in. I wondering if Ethan's anti-manga bias fucked him.

The only thing worse than incompetence, corruption, and failure is somebody that defends their incompetence, corruption, and failure with their constant lies. EVS deserves to be BTFOed. He had his chance and he fucking blew it. He's a useless, degenerate megalomaniac. I don't care if EJ puts out mediocrity, at least he's publishing.

Nobody likes mediocrity, but the fact is that publishing has always relied on mass market mediocrity to pay the bills. The sales of things like Twilight or Chicken Soup for the Soul subsidized the small amount of real talent that got published. You need a solid financial base if you want to be able to take chances on possible talent. EJ at least seems to be building a stable publishing business.

Billy is a legit CHAD. He's someone who hooked up with Ethan, but once he started figuring him out he began keeping Ethan at arm's-length. The last CG Kings only Andy Smith and Aaron Lopresti showed up. Those guys are also true-blue and I think they're still hanging with Ethan out of a sense of misplaced loyalty.
