Video of DSP's take on Nick (and YouTube lawyers in general) for interested parties:

On the one hand, I disagree with Phil that you can't be a streamer and a lawyer at the same time. There are plenty of examples of that. Such as Sean.

On the other hand, he's 100% right about Nick.

It's difficult to fault his argument much. He's more right than wrong.

Somebody actually superchatting DSP over and over trying to stick up for Nick being a lawyer, despite having only taken ONE case in years, it's for a minor traffic ticket, and he fucked that up.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm not even inclined to count the traffic ticket as Nick practicing law. Certainly not based on how it went down. His name was on the record as April's attorney and... well.. I think that's it as far as anybody can tell. Isn't it? I don't think he did shit. He even managed to commit an ethics violation apparently by not doing shit.

If Nick or any of his remaining fans ever tries to use April's case as an example of him practicing law, that's just sad. This is more the type of thing he and the noseguards would probably want to memory hole.

DSP just BTFO'd Rekieta today, "non practicing fake lawyer who doesn't actually work, if i needed legal representation I would get an actual lawyer who works for an actual law firm", LOL.

Even literal beggars are now dunking on Rekieta.
Kneel to King DSP, Rackets! He was there before you and will be here long after that soup of a brain leaks out of your ear.

Rekietard420 superchatter 20$!
"You don't understand, phil. You NEED Nick Rekieta for legal help. I know he fucked up the one and only case he ever took, but you seriously need him!"

Rekietard420 superchatted 20$!
"Phil you're $80k in debt! Phil please, my favorite youtuber can help! Rekieta can cure all your ailments!"

Rekietard420 superchatted 20$!
"PHIL I'M NO LONGER ASKING. IF YOU DON'T HIRE REKIETA I WILL KEEP SENDING YOU $20 SUPERCHATS AND I DON'T CARE IF YOU DON'T READ THEM."

Oh I completely agree, but I just thought that if I said that somebody was trying to stick up for him being a real lawyer, somebody would break out the "well technically he did", so I included that.

I remember when we first heard he was going to be her attorney here, and I was a little disappointed that he appeared to actually be a practicing lawyer again, thinking a big part of the fun might possibly be over, but of course, he blows the whole thing up, just like a fake inexperienced lawyer would.

DSP might be the worst person at literally every single video game ever created but he did actually beat the IRS. Meanwhile, Nick only contributed to tarnishing a reputation of a famous voice actor by hyping up an incompetent fool and he's currently being sued by an old conspiracy theorist for defamation. Also DSP will live forever, while Nick will OD in 3-6 months from all the licked bottles

It's legally practicing law. It's the kind of practice that is often known by a less salubrious name: malpractice.

Even if, to be charitable, what's-her-face told him fuck it, I'll just pay it, he still had a scheduled court date and it was his obligation to show up or at the very least provide cause for his absence. It is my belief he was so drunk, hungover, or otherwise fucked-up that he could have been held in contempt even calling in on a Zoom call.

Well, technically, he is a lawyer. Just not the kind of lawyer you'd hire even to take care of a speeding ticket. More like the kind you'd report to the bar if he lived up to his current level of quality in a case that actually mattered.
he blows the whole thing up, just like a fake inexperienced lawyer would.
Even an enthusiastic newbie lawyer would have showed up and maybe been awkward but managed to handle it.

The way Nick did it is like how a terminally brain-pickled hopeless alcoholic would, just blow it off because muh 107 degree fever. Or possibly he is such a fuckup he didn't even know there was a hearing.

The Fates were asleep at the switch. That W is not at all attributable to Phil
The Fates were pushing buttons! There was nothing they could do!

Face facts, Phil won. Period. He completely outdrew us, including Nick, even if he sucked out due to pure luck.

Sure, you can do it. Would you hire one though? I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't. Not for anything important, anyway. I want my lawyer to be focused on the practice of law, not on staying up until all hours, e-begging for superchats from functional morons.

The worst thing about getting dunked on by DSP is you know he's going to outlive you.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with troll too.

Though it is interesting how Nick seems to cuddle up to everybody who is considered a lolcow. There might be a tiny possibility he'd want Phil in his corner, thinking it would piss off the Farms or something (it wouldn't).
