I mean, yes, part of growing up is recognizing that other people have their own interests and these may differ from yours. And yes, in a democracy (of really any level) this is relevant information to how public policy is decided.

Nowhere do these tweets say this is the only reason men could support abortion rights, it's merely arguing that it's the priority for men because men can see the self-interest in the position. There's an important aspect between this and the tweet I responded to above. Zach (and many of these people's) conception of politics is one in which an all powerful evil conspiracy dominates everything with unlimited power. Why would such a conspiracy allow for abortion rights in the first place? They don't have an explanation for this. Somehow in someway the patriarchy just decided to do it out of the good of their heart, even though they're absolutely evil. Jack and Rowling have an explanation, enough men see the self-interest to support abortion rights. Combined with women, this can be a majority in a democracy and thus abortion rights are protected. This speaks to how to achieve other political goals. Zach remains stumped how to achieve anything other than a violent revolution that grants him absolute power.
Which he can't do because he has found the right combination of drugs yet. But maybe lopping off the balls can help.
