What was wrong with "straight" ? I get why they don't use "normal" since they want to feel special and believe that there is no normal (fucking retards what do you think genitals are for? pleasure only? retard dumb fucks hang yourselves) but why "cis" over "straight" ?

Because straight is just your sexual orientation. Cis is from the Latin for something on this side, and trans on the other eg Cisalpine and Transalpine Gaul - the first was on the Italian side of the Alps, the latter on the other side. Hence cis is what you are born as, then your egg cracks and you cross over and are now trans and then get to claim that you were magically trans all along, because stupid. And then as a man in a frock you can now claim to be a lesbian, because you still want to fuck women who aren’t into you with your girldick, because devious manipulative asshole.
I am making no judgment on the worth or otherwise of these terms, merely noting usage and meaning. Oh hang on, I think I just did. Oopsie doodles.

It doesn't even matter. There's no reason to dissect their utter insanity. Whatever weird terms, which nobody understands outside their weird circle, which they use to try to demonize just being normal, don't matter.

I'll just say that cis and trans are also used in chemistry to describe isomers, specifically stereoisomers where atom groups can occupy 2 distinct configurations with a twist of 180 degree.

Yeah but if you're synthesizing meth, one of those enantiisomers is cis and the other is trans, and one half is what your customers want and the other is pretty good as a nasal decongestant but not what your customers want.

I hate when American transgender tourists speak and act as if they, a (likely) white American with an American passport are going to face anything like the scrutiny placed on queer and trans arabs in their own countries, who, despite the restrictions and repression, have built thriving queer/trans communities in nearly every country in the Arab World.
The naked hostility, the fetishization, the distrust, I feel like I shouldn’t identify with any kind of transgender community who firmly and clearly shows me exactly how unwelcome I am. I live in America. I will face the same, if not greater, consequences as you as a result of this election; because of the attitude of these communities, I will have to pick and choose what parts of myself are more important than others. The open disregard and hostility in this sub—not dealt with by mods, fyi—toward us turn this space whiter and whiter. It truly is an echo chamber of milquetoast liberal opinion, one full of people unwilling to give up their western personal comfort and safety to prevent the deaths and immiseration of millions. And this is why this space never truly can be a reflection of the multitude of transfeminine experiences; because its white members will disregard and aggress upon any PoC who doesn’t “know their place” when push comes to shove, when priorities conflict.

I'm trying to get therapy services because the breakdowns and stress and lack of taking care of myself have gotten so bad, and I found one (and only one!) therapist who mentioned, by name, cPTSD in her listings and was open to new clients. I got an initial 20 minute consultation over the phone which seemed pleasant, and was told to wait for a call back for scheduling. I then got an email a few hours later stating I was "not the best fit" and was recommended four other clinics, none of which even mention cPTSD. They're also either virtual only or out of my ability to get to for treatment. What am I supposed to do? I also wanted to get treatment for EDs and Gender Dysphoria, which is related to the central issue, and other trauma clinics don't deal in those either!

Important update!
My wife did some digging, and spoke with another woman in the office who is breastfeeding, and this other woman did notice some of her milk missing at the end of the day. She thought it was just someone else taking it by mistake, even though the bags are labeled, but once my wife explained that she saw this trans woman leaving the mother’s room with milk, it all made sense.
My wife and this woman confronted the trans woman about the milk, and the trans woman denied taking anything.
The next day, HR wants to talk to my wife and this other breastfeeding woman, they are being accused of transphobia and making the trans woman feel unsafe. My wife did explain her side of the story.
The company is now doing an investigation.
My wife is really stressed out because of it.
