I’ve had muscle injury from a bad cough caused by a serious bronchial infection, and it’s pretty obvious what’s going on. The pain changes as the shape of your chest changes as you breathe. For the medical staff to even think that it might be appendicitis makes me think he was lying about the pain symptoms.

And just look at his eyes and facial expression in that picture, he’s getting off on this whole thing.

I'm way behind on the thread, catching up now, but something else that stood out to me was the emphasis that he was discharged with pain meds and muscle relaxers. Like, was he trying to sell some of them?

If it was me, I would be too ashamed to tell anyone that. I would be like, "Don't worry about me guys, they made sure I have everything I need," and move on.

There is that possibility, but I could also see this being part of the munchie protocol, ha ha. Dave could simply be demonstrating how much worse his pain was than anyone could have imagined. even himself. He tried to make the best of it, even went to group therapy. Then, he ended up in the ER, and it was so bad they had to give him the "hardcore" stuff, which they don't do for just anymore (or at least, not like they used to, ha ha).

He may simply be bragging. It pairs beautifully with the bedbound selfie. He did however miss a real opportunity to let his audience know that whatever happened to him was the worst example of its kind the ER physician ever saw. And that it's probably related to his C-PTSD

Still bears repeating that this is a 40 year old man acting like a 16 year old girl on Tumblr.
This absolute lack of self-awareness makes me chuckle though, from the outside its so easy to see he is the one with the narcissistic personality type.

Dave's narcissism is such that he can't imagine people not being exactly like him.

Also I've heard Dave's singing, he sounds like Bob Dylan on Xanax.
