There is something in the female brain that says a thing is not a thing if it upsets me. They will then genuinely be unable to process words and definitions, because their feelings override everything. Tonight I've been rewatching the 1973 series World at War (it's great, if you've not seen it it's all up on YouTube). One thing that struck me seeing 1930s Manchurin goatherders on horseback charge into Japanese machine gun fire is: how many times did this happen throughout history? Where men had to literally throw their lives away in war situations that were absolutely futile? But they still had to do it because it was expected of them or something.
