Diseased Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

One group will scurry away and the other will continue to insist, "No, every single individual in humanity for the rest of all time will maintain this lie, or else. There is absolutely no method of authoritarian thought control I will not support in order to forever protect my self concept as the person who is right about everything, especially all of science and morality."
And it’s that second group of people that we love so much here on KF.

Is it just me, or is Daniel's face imploding?
I love that this backstabbing faggot is now so fugly and weird looking he'll have the post-HP career like Wil Wheaton post ST:TNG. A bug-eyed weird little cowardly faggot who spit in the face of the person who put him where he is. In another 20 years he'll still be wailing on social media about how he was dun so rong.

Eat shit, you little coward.

I am going to take the horribly in-advisable course of action and say that I have a limited degree of sympathy for Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson since they were dragged in to the world of Hollywood yes-man culture when they were still children. JK Rowling had the benefit of a lot of real life experience before she became a public figure. It is easy for out siders to look at the so-called fortunate sons and decry their lack of bravery and individual character but I can remember the strength of the pull to just fit in and shut up when I was an adolescent. Add to that the pressure of celebrity culture and the desire to hold the popular perspectives at all times; I am not sure if I would have been a strong enough person to ask the right questions or risk losing such a strong position when I was still that young.

Not to say that I do not agree with your assessment of the state of his character but: there for the grace of God and sic. In many ways the real test of character is having the wisdom to know when you are wrong and being willing or able to admit as much.

This has been a round-about way to say basically, yes, fuck that nigger. But with some caveats.

I'm sorry, but while I can empathize with your position to some extent, to another extent go fuck yourself. I can remember the pressure to "fit in" and be "normal" and telling it to go fuck itself and taking the licks that resulted and fighting back. I was an unrepentant asshole at most points in my life.

At some point you have to decide if you're a man or if you're a worm. And I can see which choice Daniel Radcliffe chose.

If anything, it really shows that Daniel Radcliffe was always ungrateful for wanting to be more Hollywood than actually being lucky enough to be a famous young Brit that was in a popular children’s story series that he not only let the fame get to him, he’s actively wanting to be the strong, but subtle activist regarding propaganda around a project that has done more harm to women than any other political agenda — even while knowing that it has harmed the already famous and (dare I say) influential female author of children’s books.

It’s disheartening, but this also looks like snake-like behavior — being condescending to JK Rowling, while still “thanking” her for being a part of the series that made you famous.

I can only imagine what Emma Watson will say if this gets word to her.

I think being a child actor does make you miss out on a lot, and there's no real amount of fame that can replace what you lost but you will keep chasing it because that was supposed to be the reward for what you traded in. Or your parents traded in for you, but they've always been held up as good stage parents who only did it because he really wanted to, so getting angry at them would be difficult. Also if you were always getting over the top positive reactions for being harry potter maybe he feels like his real self is inferior or doesn't have a strong sense of self to fall back on. So he just goes with whatever correct thing that gets the right positive response is.

People keep talking about how he's totally broken the harry potter ties and established himself with stuff like guns akimbo and swiss army man, but it's literally action man shit and fart jokes - the priorities of an eleven year old boy, which is when he became famous. People are supposed to get stunted at the age they became famous.

There are those photos of Emma and Weinstein, I (prefer to) think nothing actually happened but she definitely attempted to chase hollywood fame and it didn't work out for her either.

Saw an article pop up that licensing for schools to put on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child as a school play is now available and some theatre adults are mad about it, because fuck getting kids into theatre by letting them put on a play involving something they’re interested in when it benefits Queen TERF I guess

Gender-bending is really, really common in youth theater because plays have an annoying tendency to feature more male roles and there's never enough boys that want to do theater. This isn't any kind of own 😹

Same with race swapping. The play for Cursed Child had Hermione played by a black woman and both woketards and far rightards reacted as if it's a culture war issue. Unfortunately Rowling herself said Hermione could be black (contradicting her own books and artwork) back when she was still pandering to the same leftoids who now hate her.

Maybe I’m being overly generous to the terf queen, but in retrospect she might have been saying that Hermione didn’t have to be white, not that she didn’t envision Hermione as white but that a black Hermione is just fine.
I had a bunch of racists telling me that because Hermione ‘turned white’ – that is, lost (color) from her face after a shock – that she must be a white woman, which I have a great deal of difficulty with. But I decided not to get too agitated about it and simply state quite firmly that Hermione can be a black woman with my absolute blessing and enthusiasm.
Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione
😘
I remember at the time being annoyed at her response (starting out by calling them racists was definitely unreasonable) but she is correct, Hermione being black is not a problem for the canon.

I was reminded of Stephanie Meyer and her antics which were basically the same time as the epilogue and JKR saying dumbledore was gay. I think Dumbledore being gay doesn't change much about canon, but also it was happening at the same time as JKR's American counterpart, having a protracted meltdown that not everyone agreed that Edward was best boy and making Jacob Black an accidental paedophile who happened to imprint on a baby (and had been attracted to Bella because he was drawn to the egg inside her before that.) Nothing JKR did seemed that weird in comparison.

Everyone's now reviving Meyer and pretending that she was the unappreciated genius all along to shit on JKR but they're ignoring some actual problematic stuff like what they accuse JKR of to do it. Mormon beliefs that black people get washed clean of blackness when they ascend by becoming vampires, a weird super-fast aging baby (and horrifying film animatronic) so that the baby and jacob could be definitively paired off by the end of the series. There's probably more stuff I'm not remembering. And just, sparkly vampires. Everyone was laughing at it at the time, even people who like the books (me), because sparkly vampires was and is ridiculous.

This might be the height of presumption but I do not think children are safe around Walker Weatherly.

Ha Ha, you know what would be funny... ha ha?
If you put your little boys in those Hogwarts girls' uniforms and posted tons of pictures online!
You know, ha ha. To stick it to Her Royal Terfness? Ha Ha?

If anything it enhances the story. Dumbledore's treatment of Harry through out the series always struck me as really dodgy and inappropriate and when I found out about his proclivities it suddenly all made a lot more sense.

He was grooming Harry to be a sacrificial weapon against Voldemort as opposed to a sexual conquest but metaphorically it's on the same level.

That's actually what made me not like it, because rather than it being like harry is a child soldier wearing a bomb vest, people are going to read gay and think sexual grooming. Like it's not supposed a sexual dynamic at all, it is a war dynamic.

Between Shakepeare and pantomime, I'm not sure what rock you have to be living under to think that you can make a British writer's "big head explode" at the sight of gender-bending stage actors.
Don't forget Paul O'Grady, may he rest in peace.

The idea that images of cross dressing is going to kill anyone in the UK is wildly optimistic.
