The Amazing Digital Circus - Western Isekai that probably will become Hazbin Hotel killer

Assuming he does a quick mental expected outcome matrix in his head, even something as simple as giving a warning to the other characters and NPCs would be a superior action.
But is he doing that, though? I wouldn't have said so. His actions aren't that calculated - it's morally the same impulse as kicking over someone else's sandcastle at the beach. He's bratty, not cold and calculated.

Also, at the beginning of the episode Caine says he's "testing a new AI". The ability for an NPC to be self-aware is an explicitly new concept. Jax is more used to seeing them as fake/disposable, while Pomni/the audience gets the perspective of seeing one being sentient (and remember, Jax wasn't there for the scenes where the NPC realizes what he is, so conversely he doesn't have that perspective).

Yeah, I missed that. On the other hand, does anyone know if Kantians are allowed to lie to an entity they have an 80% probability on being a non-self-aware NPC? That does make it a bit better, but personally I think I'd handle it right despite not being a Kantian or a utilitarian.

And destroying the kingdom isn't that egregious when you consider he's desensitized to his situation and to the idea the NPCs aren't "real", unlike Pomni (and therefore the audience by proxy).
Well, you have a point on that, considering what we have introduced into the lore in this episode, it mitigates what he did to that kingdom. That's why I'm mantaining the benefit of the doubt on him and hoping they make something out of that.

Also, I didn't catch that in the ending of the episode, so that mitigated my opinion on him a little, I guess he wanted to avoid having to deal with the funeral of a friend. I wonder if something like this happened to him in the past...

Unlike Trump, I don't believe Jax will complete the system of German Idealism.

Gooseworx has said in Tumblr Q&As that Jax has unresolved emotional baggage he needs to work through. I definitely think in later episodes his "cool detached guy" facade will break down and we will see a more vulnerable side of his character, as @SteelPlatedHeart said we already got a hint of that process beginning at the end of this episode.

It was pretty good. If it wasnt for the adult comedy and all the references, which will probably fly over a kid's head anyway, I'd say the show is more of a kid's show than anything actually made for kids in recent memory. While I expected the ending, it was still strangely depressing that the alligator NPC didn't make it.

Jax is going to be a bad guy, he doesnt even go to the funeral. I dislike his new characterization because its less about mischief and more about actual malice, but whatever, I guess they're going for some character development which is good. Kinger is still the best character, and the humor was pretty amusing even if I didn't laugh.
If you watch this or Hazbin Hotel you are literally gay or a manbaby.
Oh shut up you joyless nigger.

Man the content farms are going crazy over this one. Pomni, Jax, Agatha.

Porn is kinda mid; very disappointed

This reminded me that I feel the show is having Hazbin syndrome when it comes to aesthetics. I get what they were going for in the pilot with the 2000's type 3D graphics, but the palette is pretty much the same this episode and strangely reminds me of Roblox.

I don't think its necessarily a bad thing, but I hope there's some more variety in the upcoming episodes. I'm being optimistic about the show against all that my rational brain tells me, it has been a lot better than Vivzie's garbage so far.

Episode was fine, I think it's probably good to just do something "normal" like this at first to get us adjusted and familiar with the characters before anything bigger might happen. It was super obvious what was going to happen to the gummi croc but the suddenness of it still made me laugh. And I suppose Gangle getting their comedy mask broken at the beginning of each episode is going to be a running gag. Yeah there was nothing especially amazing about this episode but nothing bad either. I liked the clipping effect that happens with objects sometimes, that's pretty funny, and the npc figuring out it isn't real was also a pretty good scene. I hope there's less censored swearing in future episodes because I don't want them to rely on cheap comedy like that all the time.

Frankly I'm just surprised the second episode came out this quickly.

You are no different than a brony if you watch shit like this you obese manchild.

Yeah, I'm surprised by the amount of people who said they were shocked when he was deleted. They obviously weren't going to become a main character.

Yeah you're right man, adults only do mature, grown-up things like file tax returns and get colonoscopies. Enjoying things is for children

Go watch Fight Club then faggot, you're closeted as fuck. You are so obsessed with HH, TADC, and what I watch that I am starting to think you are thirsting for my cock.

I didn't know what to expect with the gummy croc, I had a bit of hope he would have been smuggled out of his world somehow, but in hindsight yes, it was obvious what would happen. I felt bad for him, though, and began thinking a bit about what to make of the adventure and the reveal of the NPCs/props after Pomni glitches through the ground. To what degree do they suspend their disbelief in the worlds and in the AI, and to what degree would I be able to?

Fight club is the "I'm so manly and mature" of movies. It's kinda meh overall, and the only thing asult and manly is men fighting in averagely choreographed fights.

Come to think of it, if you like shirtless sweaty men fighting you're kind of a faggot.

Enjoying faggoty gay shows made for teen girls makes you a manbaby.

"Bro you don't watch a gay cartoon make for edgy angsty teen girls? You're actually the gay one!"
You're embarrassing yourself.

Personally I don't like the "world concept" for either, either having your main character keep hallucinating that he's not the one doing everything (Mr. Robot, Fight Club) or having the world changeable in annoying ways (anything with game worlds or simulations, or too much nanobot nonsense, so TADC and a bunch of other stuff) because we kind of get it at this point and don't want to be constantly trying to tell what's real and what's not. I guess the correct answer is "everything is real and nothing is." Have your world be a stable base for the story, write down exactly how it works, and then DON'T TELL ANYONE. Fans getting access to worldbuilding documents was a mistake. I've heard Brandon Sanderson fell into both of these traps, but I don't read his stuff anymore.
