I'm not going to change my negative review until after the original deadline on June passes. In fact, I don't think I'll touch the game again until after that date. Sony backing down was a surprise, but I don't trust them to keep their word in the short term, not without some caveats.

I originally thought of refunding the game if by Friday, 10th, they hadn't reversed the decision or came up with a way for people to play the game without a PSN account, since I live in one of the countries where you can't create one.

On June, when they add the gay shit, I'll teamkill people that use the gay cosmetics in the most subtle way possible, backblasting them with the recoilless rifle.

Console base doesn't have big enough numbers (or care/control) to orchestrate something on this scale. Same with what happened with War Thunder, but Sony has been hated for a long time for good reason.

Think about the age of most of the Snoys that are eager to defend Sony. They're all mid 20s, maybe late 20s at most? Their frame of reference is the tail end of the PS3 at best, which is when that console was in a tolerable state because they don't know how awful the console was at launch, how much it lagged behind the Xbox 360 on multi-plat releases, or how Sony got hacked.

Pretty sad to be a Sony fan if you weren't even around for the Playstation 2, which had, in my opinion, the best console game library of all time. It was certainly the high water mark for the company, and a gold standard that each successive console has fallen further and further short of. By comparison the PS5 is a paperweight.

And even though the negative reviews played a part at this change of heart (?), it also goes to show how shitty Blizzard has gotten, since Overwatch 2 is still THE lowest rated game on Steam, and that game wasn't improved even with the low ratings.

I think that's probably the smart play. Don't reverse shit until you see them actually do it. Still don't think I'm gonna buy helldivers. Arrowhead fucked this up. The only reason it got fixed was the massive backlash that they didn't instigate but pc gamers did. Lets see them fire the CSRs that went on tard rampages first.

Did they get mass refunds? steam has a two hours of play time or two week window to refund, I think most players are out of refund range.
