Fighting games were killed off by the EVO community and now all the recent major fighting game releases like Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6 had to add a bunch of content in to re-appeal to people who aren’t EVOtards. Mortal Kombat had to reboot their franchise yet again. I have a lot more fun these days still playing games like Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament.

Well, I have seen too many great games slandered because of skill issues. If a game is giving you problems, one of the first things you'll want to try is to maybe be less bad at video games, and see if that makes a difference. It's like "unplug it and plug it back in". It won't solve every issue but it's a good starting point for troubleshooting.

Everything needs some form of retarded moderation nowadays. When these shit didn't exist we didn't have a problem. It isn't even a problem in games made before this that still have players.
Now even fucking mods (JB3 for example) are rolling out 1984 style moderating every server in the game.

I see so many people playing crpgs like the Pathfinder games and Pillars of Eternity and all they do is use programs like Toybox to make themselves invincible or cheese the game so the difficulty becomes more trivial than even playing it in Story mode. Where’s the fun in that? It just reminds me of Ralph Wiggum plinking away at a game controller and screeching “I’M WINNING!”

Sometimes it is fun to play as something beyond overpowered. I occasionally do this for an hour or two after I beat a game as either a victory lap before finally uninstalling the game all together or to test at how different paths can get and see if another playthough is worth it.

I'm just going to get this off my chest because I hear the same stupid fucking line and it makes me wanna ventilate my back cap with a 12 gauge:
"Fallout 4 might be a bad Fallout game, but still still a good game on it's own merits."
NO IT FUCKING IS NOT.
The combat is largely bullet sponges and farming a handful of guns that can actually do any damage.
The story is finding out which faction you hate the least because they're either useless, retarded, or retardedly useless.
The role playing is non-existence with dialogue "options" that were designed from the ground up for fucking console controllers.
Literally the only things that were an "improvement" are: the gunplay, was largely the result of id Software and even then it only rises to the level of "it actually exists"; and the Power Armor, that the game fucking hands you about 10 minutes after leaving the vault, which requires power cores that become a feast-or-famine situation.
If it didn't have the Fallout name on the cover, it would be sitting in the fucking $20 bin at Walmart.

How is the Fallout 4 gunplay better than 3/NV? It's the exact same shit but with slightly better animations on the guns and more responsive enemies

I dislike the changes the Monster Hunter series has undergone under Monster Hunter World and Rise. I hear people saying they're all positive and pushing the series forward but in my opinion if anything many are regressive and take away from what made the series great in the first place or greatly diminish the difficulty where a certain sense of satisfaction is lost.


Scout Flies in World remove the hunt from Monster Hunter. In old games when monsters ran away you'd potentially lose track of them unless the player used paintballs to throw at the monster. This encouraged player interaction and immersion. In modern Monster Hunter you either get to locate monsters via scout flies like previously mentioned or you automatically know where they are like in Rise. People who will argue this is better because it removes the tedium but those people don't seek to understand that "tedium" was part of the Monster Hunter experience. It's like removing all the traps from Dark Souls. Sure, it's easier but is it necessary better? No.


Then you have the advanced movement in Monster Hunter World and Rise which I actually have no problem with. My issue is in World and Rise you feel so ahead of most monsters in terms of movement that you feel too powerful and the game becomes too easy. World and Rise are the two easiest games in the series.

Things like the clutch claw and now Ziplines in Monster Hunter Rise don't help this. Yes, some people will say it's better because it's streamlined enough they can enjoy it now and good for them. However I can't shake the feeling that another great game series originally targeted at those with an at least 108 IQ has been dumbed down for a country with an average IQ of 98.
