That's how I feel. It wasn't long ago Surrey police dragged Mrs Farrow away from her children, because she may or may not have called Fat Tony a man on the internet. And now the troon house of cards is collapsing every day. Its not only a new direction, it's a 180 degree handbrake turn followed by full speed in the opposite direction.

Not sure this qualifies as a loss for them. Sex segregated bathrooms are peak validation-boner spaces.

I gather all this means is that the men's room will continue to be the men's room and the women's will continue to be for women and their predators.

It's not a fix or an apology for the current state of things - it's likely based on some big brained thinking re: what will happen when non-sick-fuck men are around the perverts with whom their daughters have been sharing toilets, showers and changing rooms.

The alternative is a single unisex washroom with cubicles for all, where women still have to cross paths with these perverts (and a shitload of men too). The renovation is costly, undoing it someday will be even costlier, and being a normal person not wanting any part of it will be aggravating.
Though I don't really care about how women take either situation because they keep voting for it.

I've been thinking about John Flynt's assertion that unlike how knowing gay people made you more likely to support gay marriage, knowing trannies makes you less likely to support them.

Ten years ago, the trans people I knew were more "knew of" than "knew" - maybe I found out that someone I hadn't seen in years had gotten a sex change. I didn't have to deal with them in real life. "Call me Bunny now," whatever.

Once I started to encounter them more in real life, my position started to change. That's true of women I know, who have told me stories about trannies mansplaining what being a woman is like... to women. I'm not going to PL but I don't know of a tranny I've had to deal with who hasn't been obnoxious.

If you think this is impressive, wait till you figure out more people in the UK hate immigrants far more than they hate troons. First political party to capitalise on that, and actually do something about it, cleans up. People will even turn a blind eye to any "human rights abuses".
The left has not cottoned on to this fact yet, neither have the activist civil servants or activist law firms and judges, and they keep pushing, and pushing, and pushing, the publics patience on the matter.
It's only a matter of time before something blows, imo, and there's not nearly enough police or armed forces to contain it if it does.

The fact that this isn't related to any specific messaging from the government in power is an indication that this is a technocrat/bean counter drive change, and those take years to work up as the institutional inertia keeps things chugging along in one direction. The Cass report would have been quietly quashed and downplayed if they were going to stay the course, but some internal discussions must have occured that decided to shift strategy, and they used it as marking the new framework moving forward (there's always a date or event that everybody uses to align). Now all the little government organs are realigning themselves. I'm sure the fact that places like Tavistock didn't agree to participate also irked quite a few bureaucrats, which is playing into the speed of the changes.

I also think there's been quite a bit of mutation in the trans movement over the last decade, in keeping with it being a social contagion. We joke about it often but how many times have you seen a troon saying they were an incel womanhater in the 00's. Because transitioning isn't real and there was no gatekeeping, and being trans became trendy, trooning went the way of all fandom, which is that it got flooded and optimized towards the most obsessive degenerate freaks, even worse than the average troon was a decade previously. Remember that formal transitioning has been legal in the US since the 70's, ditto the UK (though I think birth certificates were excluded in both cases). The obsessives and faggots of yesteryear where much more interested in keeping their heads down and being left alone. Not so this new crop.

I also think we can't discount Trump's effect on all this, or rather the effect that Trump derangement syndrome had on liberals in the US, and by extension places strongly influenced by US culture. This is anecdotal but I just don't remember the type of extreme zealotry in these debates prior to the military ban. So I've heard that in order to do DIY safely you have to be your own endocrinologist. Bet. Any online resources/free courses to learn from?

There are many responses. None say "medical school." Note I think learning more about medicine if you have a medical problem is a good idea; if you have diabetes learn about insulin, if you have high cholesterol learn about lipids, at least so you can understand what your doctor is saying. Being your own doctor is crazy.

Assuming that you do actually want to study endocrinology, and are not just an aspiring DIYer who's been told "YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO BE YOUR OWN ENDO!!!1!," I recommend Rang & Dale's Pharmacology, Edition 7 or 8.
If you just want to learn enough to be able to work out what hormones to take, don't worry it's really simple. When you get hold of HRT, ask this subreddit what dose to start off on, and try to find blood tests to check your levels. You need to both check that your E levels are high enough, *and * that your T levels are suppressed. You can suppress T using higher doses of E, or by using an anti-androgen. In all seriousness, part of this might be looking at the potential for some sort of class action lawsuit and trying to mitigate the damage. I think the huge uptick in FTM in particular, and the number of regret horror stories, is part of the behind the scenes conversations. TIMs seem less likely than TIFs to have regrets, so the fact that quite a large majority of the upticks in the UK was TIFs is probably causing some alarm bells. There must have been some individual negligence lawsuits by now.
