General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I wonder if she can really pull it off or will go broke. She has 9 people working for her and at the beginning of the year she planned with these splits (didn't check if it changed). There might be a reason why vtuber agencies take higher cuts than that.

Seems like Advent is going to travel to Japan and start recording their 3D debuts soon. Fuwamoco is already in Japan, Nerissa met up with Shiori but they only do guerilla stream and now Biboo announced her break for an indefinite period. Since Reimu's 3D onpy reached 13.3k the direct comparison will ne brutal. It's still 3 months until their anniversary but I guess they will showcase it after that.
Ina is going to play her newly added charge character in Idol Showdown soon

Deerskin teased that she has a fuck lot to say about her former job.

She quickly deleted the rant, I managed to take a screenshot.

She also mentioned that she deleted the posts in another post... and then proceeded to delete that post too.

It would be mighty hilarious if she were to finally talk about it now that NijiEN are back from hiatus and (very) slowly trying to regain their audience.

80/20 split with no merch proceeds means it would take five talents bringing in 120% of the bare minimum income required to be full time to support one extremely underpaid full-time manager. At this scale, I don't see how a split like that would work unless they did literally nothing for their talent besides fronting starting costs.

I think the 100% merch cut in particular is very short sighted. The only way they will able to fill in the gaps in unstable platform income will be through merch, voice packs and other membership perks. This should be the strong point for a group with an adult focus.

You are giving away the only asset you have that has a near 100% profit margin and expecting to survive on fucking youtube.

To be fair I think in this particular niche """voice packs""" are actually a major revenue source
Rosemi should have been in that Tekken Tournament, that hurts.
Rosemi feels unusually isolated even within NijiEN which is a shame because she's one of the better remaining members.
