The thing I've noticed about sperg communities like this is just how tied they are to their identity of being a member of the community, and how as long as that's the case there will almost never be an actual acknowledgement or disavowal of any wrong doing no matter how large a part of the community is a part of said behavior. Like regardless of what it is, if there is a community that makes being part of that community a large part of someone's identity, they will attempt to disprove, downplay, or disregard any type of negative behavior regardless of what it is. I think the reason for this is that the majority of these people are terminally online losers with literally 0 real life social connections, so the possibility of their one source of community being taken from them or being categorized as problematic is akin to actual murder. Then there's the aspect that most of these people can't disassociate someone or their actions from the larger community, likely because to them the culprit isn't "the pedo John Smith, a grocery bagger at Publix" they are "Epiclyowned99, an active member in the Roblox community". I also think a huge issue is that these people don't understand these issues from a fundamental level, or if they're doing something that could land them in the same position, so in their mind the accusation was just as likely to happen to them for no reason whatsoever, and if it did they have to believe the accused would be on their side as well.
