How the fuck do you hate dog parks. Not to say there can't be bad people. 'Unpredictable'? How socially stunted and retarded do you have to be if you can't socialize at a dog park? I'm not siding with them on this or co-signing their retarded alternative, but in general, dog parks are actually pretty fucking terrible. I've had dogs work with a few professional trainers over the years for both service and protection, and a common opinion between them has been how shitty dog parks are. Dog parks are un-hygienic as fuck, normally from shared drinking sources, owners don't give a fuck about vaccination or behavior standards, and the only categorization is usually small or large dog sections, so all the little shit dogs have a place, but anything bigger than a shiatzu is forced to be in the open section. Basically meaning if you have a wiry greyhound, they're gunna be in the same section as a cane corso, or more likely, a bunch of fucking pit bulls and pit bull mixes. That's another thing, at least a third of the dogs at any given time are some flavor of pit bull, likely in packs, because poor's have a soft spot for adopting a fuck ton of pits.

So on average a dog park is a bunch of people with varying degrees of care for their dogs with half of them letting their dogs do whatever the fuck they want, and the other half either being obsessed with what their dog is doing, or just walking them around alone on a leash for some fucking reason.

Lastly, dog park people can be fucking crazy. Nothing like public services and animals to bring out the absolute most unhinged pieces of shit that are all more than willing to cause a problem if they get the chance. I wouldn't be surprised if dog parks are right up there with bars in some places when it comes to physical altercations.
