From what I hear they picked no-lifers active in the discord of the first game to fill these Community Manager roles.

Hence the abundance of hopelessly inept, aggressively combative and generally useless trannies who view the actual community with outright contempt within the "Community Management" team.

One day someone will figure out hiring terminally online no-lifers for customer facing positions is a bad idea. Until then, we get gold like Spitz.

That's the only part of your post I agree with. Sony hasn't made a game that was actually worth playing since The Last of Us, and even then that game was just an interactive movie disguised as a game, and that's all they've been making ever since.

Consoles were arguably at their peak popularity back in the PS3/360/Wii gen, no one ever said consoles were dying back then. Hell, back then everyone thought that PC gaming would be dead in a few years and we would only have consoles but now the complete opposite seems to be happening.

PCs had a crisis in the early to mid 2000s when its delineation as a niche market with a niche culture and direction was subsumed by the much larger console market and a huge fraction of PC gaming became a supplemental market for multi-plat console games. PC exclusives still existed, but not nearly to the degree they had in the past.

Now we're seeing a crisis in the console market. Microsoft at least has a plausible path to Xbox becoming a "platform" rather than being tied exclusively to a traditional console, but I don't know what the hell Sony is going to do. Become a platform agnostic publisher like Sega? Stop trying to compete in the high end completely like Nintendo?

Modern consoles since Xbone and PS4 are just shittier PCs anyways, there is absolutely 0 reason to get anti-consumer platforms that force you to pay for online and don't even have good exclusives like they used to before Xbone and PS4

I love old consoles because they all had something unique to offer but modern ones are mostly fucking horrible, the Switch doesn't have nearly as much charisma and charm as the Gamecube or Wii

Microshit and Sony also pay AMD to keep their superior Graphics technology exclusive to consoles and make shittier Radeon cards that are still absurdly priced, like $200 for an RX 6400 that is far slower and has less Vram while being more expensive than an RX 580

If Microsoft and Sony were pro consumer I am sure consoles wouldn't be in crisis, but good fucking riddance to them if they are just going to make shitty DEI games and gyp me out of money to play the game I already bought

Called it. Not an expert on Swedish employment laws, but I can't imagine it's an easy process to suddenly fire a bunch of people given the country's high rate of unionisation.
That said, there's a few more CMs that need to be shitcanned from all this. Thankfully Purple was also demoted.
Hopefully, Pilestedt keeps whoever remains on a short fucking leash since he's clearly willing to rid himself of morons.
Biggest hopium is this all leads into getting rid of the kernel level anticheat, but not holding my breath.
