so after reading the latest chapter i am wondering a few things for one what exactly is the mother flame? it seems to be alive? i wonder if its connected to the flame that the lunarians like king have on their back.

also if joy boy is the first pirate is it possible that everyone with D in their name is somehow descended from him? sorta like how big mom has all those children or how whitebeards crew all referred to him as their father? maybe joy boy had something similar with his crew and that is how the buccaneer race was born

It was said via flashback awhile ago that that the D can just be given to people.

I think it’s likely that most people were just given it.

Otherwise a character that Luffy is the reincarnation of would have to sex with everyone. Luffy’s not having sex so I don’t see Joy Boy either.

So the Celestial Dragons either are the only ones who know anything about what happened during the Void Century but don't realize the rest of the world calls it that, or they never studied history and therefore have no idea that there is even such a thing as the "Void Century". That we cut to Shalria wondering this to herself is either Oda just showing off a face we recognize, or he's planting a seed in her to become much more important later down the line.

Not surprised to learn Joy Boy was the first pirate, it seemed more and more obvious he was the leader of the ancient kingdom, or at least was super important even if he wasn't the king. So this would mean that Oda's quote here:

is likely referring to Joy Boy. Especially since he really wants to get around to drawing him, just like how he was really excited to get to Wano where we got Luffy's awakening.

My money was on Imu but then we got shown he did indeed have two eyes so yeah, eye patch is def Joy Boy. Especially the first thing we ever see Luffy try to do was take his own eye. And being told trying to do that himself was stupid And Shanks is known for Blackbeard trying to take his eye. We are going to see Joy Boy losing an eye in the flashback.

Honestly, I’m just happy that we’re finally opening some mystery boxes. I don’t think we’re going to get all of them opened, I think Vegapunk’s flashback will explain a lot. I think we’ll get the fish man promise, maybe what “D.” means, and the actual name of the kingdom. The only thing we won’t get is probably how The One Piece got to where it is, because that’d probably explain the “funny story” once it all clicks. Or what the treasure actually is because of how it connects to Luffy’s true dream and the battle to follow after it’s found.

As for the eye patch, I doubt it’s Joy Boy because when Oda says “final scenes, I have to think he means near the actual ending. I do think we’re near the end though if someone actually talks about the Void Century. I’m just hoping we don’t get cockblocked to keep us waiting until Laugh Tale at this point. Please Vegapunk, give us something significant.

It’s amazing how many readers regardless of politics never look at the big picture of the world. Fact is WG has kept 99% of it safe for 900 years. Even Dragon, the dude besed on fucking Castro, says the Marines and the Govetment are vital and good.

Apart from Ohara, Akainu has quite litterally done nothing wrong. And considering what leaving one person on Ohara alive ended up causing, I can’t really say he was wrong there either.

The best thing about the Egg Head arc has bern every time we cut away from it or get a lore dump about something completely different.

Seeing people throughout this arc just be ‘yeah, we really don’t care about Egg Head itself’ and Oda seemingly agreeing has be funny shit.
