I don't fault her for staying. While I do think she could probably divorce rape him in court, I don't blame her for not leaving. What I blame her for is not doing anything to protect the kids. That doesn't necessarily have to mean take the kids and get out. They have money, she could call around and arrange for somebody to pick the kids up in the morning and take them to school, if Nick continues to insist two hours of sleep is enough after his drunken nights.

If she made that kind of move after having that conversation with him, and arranged for a third party to cover the rides in the morning, then I'd have a lot nicer things to say about her.

But instead, she has to know he does this, but she does absolutely nothing. Doesn't even try to do anything to keep them out of that dangerous situation. That's why she's awful.

depending on how the trust fund is set up and how the house is handled, he might not actually have any real income or property in his name that a court could sign over to her. like, what if the house actually belongs to his parents (or some kind of family foundation) and they just let him live in there? what if the trust fund is actually the rekieta family fund and a bunch of other family members have a stake in it? it could be really hard for kayla to lay claim to those things in divorce proceedings.
plus divorce court takes time, time during which she would still be dealing with being a single mother of 5 living below the poverty line.

I used to go to one that had a full rock setup. There were the core regulars but they had visiting musicians all the time including the entire managerial staff and the co-owners of a massive local music instrument store. They did all kinds of crazy stuff including a cover of Rusty Cage. Wish I still had a video of that.

The pastor was a big buff powerlifter who was also goofy as heck.


Had good times there. Learned all I know about pro audio from running the stage monitors for years.
