The top link is the first mention of it. The second link is him saying that unemployment court ruled in favor of him,

I know the Connecticut unemployment court didn't rule in his favor, because there is no such thing. DSPsearch in action once again. If he meant the state Labor Department, that's not a court, a bureaucrat took his work history and used that to calculate his :tugboat: . No input from Best Buy, no decision on whether it was wrongful, that's for courts which actually exist to decide.

EDIT sorry for double posting, just sickens me how Phil gets away with his bullshit

For anyone that isn't aware, this is reason phil has survived so long. He said he changes his credit cards before interest kicks in so essentially he pays for debt with more debt? I try to keep my credit card low on debt so I don't really know. Eventually you'd think the bank or someone would stop him.
Can we call him DebtSydePhil from now on?

It should be noted that at the time this took place, he was trying to raise funds for his tournament and begging at every possible turn, right after pissing off every Guilty Gear player in the area by insulting them. He basically pulls this kind of stuff any time he gets desperate for one reason or another.

Why did he insult GG players? like what was the reasoning? he didn't like that game?

The top link is the first mention of it. The second link is him saying that unemployment court ruled in favor of him, and the attachment is an image of the relevant text (as well as the post he quoted) from the second link. Granted, these are *his* claims and DSP doesn't exactly have the best track record with that. In other words: :story:

Note about SRK: It represents banned users under the 'System' account but doesn't edit quote replies to match, so users who quoted him at the time are still shown to have been quoting him, if that makes any sense.

From what I understand, this was never a lawsuit. When you file for unemployment, you're asked why you were released from your previous employer to determine eligibility for benefits. You can list that you were terminated unlawfully, which a social worker will "investigate." The investigation consists of asking the employer what happened, then comparing it to whatever information you give them. Eventually, a state worker checks either yes or no for unemployment benefits, and that's the end of it. No court, no lawyers, no judge. I can see where he may have filed for unemployment accusing his employer of all kinds of shit, and because he was awarded benefits, assumed that he had won something.

I've had a couple disputes with former employers when I was working as an independent contractor, and actual wrongful termination lawsuits take a long ass time. I think the first one I did ended up taking over a year just to get a court date. If Phil was going through litigation for anything, he would have spouted about it non stop. He can't pass up the tiniest victory without gloating his warbly neck off.

Unless either the employer or the employee appeal it, then there's an administrative hearing before a hearing officer. Sometimes there's another level of appeals after that with the agency, but whether or not there is, once the agency has made a final determination, they can file a lawsuit. Most cases are clear-cut enough that this doesn't happen, though.

So someone on the KOHF decided to mention Twitch and suggest Phil go back to it... he responded with an incoherent text wall of excuses saying he didn't want to go back.

Now let's play a fun game! Try and compare what Phil believes other streamers on Twitch with his own "business practices." The projection is strong with this one.

-Nigga you interrupt your streams constantly anyway, you'd just be thaking people instead of stirring sauce or begging for patreon. Also you cut the videos into 30 minute chunks anyway, can't you just cut around them, or better yet abandon youtube entirely since it's a 'broken' platform?

I don't blame him for not wanting to go back to Twitch.

Hard to compete with guys who actually have fun doing what they do and actually adore their audience and appreciates everything they do, even when they don't give them money.

You'd have to be an absolute mad man to be Phil and try to do business in such an environment!

He is really salty that they didn't let him do as he pleased. Remember how he was politely asked to lower his bitrate and then made a video about how he got threatened by admin...

In regards to the lawsuit, i guess i remember it wrong, my bad!

The appeal of Twitch and streaming in general is making you feel as you're part of the experience and not just watching some asshole play videogames. Of course, this is Phil and he's a fucking dinosaur.

This shit is exactly what will bury him. His pride just refuses to go back to twitch.
It's gonna come to a point where not even his gullible moronic fans will be sufficient enough support, and he will be in his own personal hell of working a 9-5

His deal is that, either consciously or not, he knows that he is shit at interacting with other people. He knows he cant get a job. He is aware that his life is enough of a trainwreck that youtube is really all hes got.

I always thought bottled water was actually just a convenience product (or something kind of like paying to use the bathroom, in America it's uncommon but a lot of foreign countries and especially tourist-y areas do this), or something you buy to put in your bugout bag if you live in an area that is prone to hurricanes or something where you might need access to clean water and there is no other source. And that the "premium" water is more of a meta-capitalism thing where people with too much money are conditioned into automatically assuming "higher cost==higher quality" and buy it without thinking.

The thing isn't that he can't get a job, it is not going to be the job he wants or expects himself to be entitled to, if he was going to look for a job, he would look for job it most likely would be at a large coperation and as a department or division manager of atleast or at worst team leader on a high valued project.

Rather than looking for more suitable jobs such as ordinary store clerk and work himself up while doing YT at the side. However i have a hard time seeing him as a store clerk, he most likely would apply for work in game or tech stores and have a melt down when young kids come in and know more about the stuff than he does.

While some detractors and Phil himself would claim he's unemployable depending on what he's lying about I'm not so sure. Yeah, a bigshot job where they actually google you is out of the question but he could easily get a retail or fast food job where they don't care to vet their employees online and don't care at all about your background. Think the rung of jobs for people with questionable backgrounds but no/not yet any formal criminal record to disqualify them. The question is how he's going to handle the indignity. From what I gather from his ramblings his current 'future plan' is a vague idea to somehow transition to some currently undefined more stable but still easy and lucrative related gig and thus deny those darn kids the satisfaction of seeing him flipping burgers. Its a completely preposterous plan for a normal person of course but given phil's past luck he may very well blunder and burp his way into another plum job.

I don't blame him for not wanting to go back to Twitch.

I think there is a good chance he might try crawling back to Twitch if things continue to go south. Excuses aside, I'm not sure why as dude who makes his living getting people to watch him play games he thought it was a good idea to leave the top streaming site on the web. Personally I think pure laziness is the most likely real explanation. But it could give him a big enough boost to eke along further once he gets desperate enough to put up with the extra work of uploading to two websites. Clicking a mouse a couple more times is relatively easy money for a sane person and for him a high price but doable if times really get tough

I had a good chuckle at Phil cavalierly asking for an extra grand as if it just takes a snap of the finger. Its like he doesn't even have a concept of other people, those poor kids are probably sticking their fingers through the holes in their pockets by now, for that loose dime that escaped when they plunked down their lunch money for Phil's next greasy burger. Part of me doesn't like to see them continue to be scammed but another part of me loves the sheer hilarity of it all. If there's one amazing thing about phil its his uncanny ability to, despite years of obnoxiousness, aggressive stupidity that would have gotten anyone else dead or in jail 100 times over, contemptible hygiene, despite all the junk purchased, wild spending, the countless fast food outings, staycations, mistreatment of fans, copyright strikes, paycuts, and horrendous financial decisions. Somehow he manages to keep stumbling and belching along in a somewhat middle class, comfortable (for a person smart enough to enjoy it) lifestyle against all odds and through countless past predictions of his demise. It's disgusting and almost...inspiring at the same time.

It is pretty astounding, that much can't be denied. But eventually, inevitably, luck runs out.

There is that rant and others in video form, plus more BF1 salt

What the fuck does it matter how peoples games run? Wasnt this the reason he left twitch?

"I dont hate Nintendo, but i feel the need to shit on them some more."

Love the part (second text) where he claim it is impossible for Nintendo to have better technology than either Microsoft or Sony.
Hes wrong on so many levels. Does he really think Nintendo can compete with Sony and Microsoft at their level? The last time they did that with the Gamecube they didnt do too well. The reason third party developers didnt support the Wii and Wii U is because Nintendo required them either to do something with motion controls or the Wii U tablet and many of them just didnt want to deal with that. Now that barrier has been removed. Its also more akin to an upgrade to the 3DS. We also dont know the specs on this system. There are reasons to be cautiously optimistic about The Switch

He started hating them because of their policy on YT. If you upload any footage of a Nintendo game then they will claim it.
Thats an actual good reason for Youtubers to hate Nintendo.

DSP showed his desktop briefly on stream. Enjoy

View attachment 147011

2014 and 2015 taxes, let's see, what else is there?
Domain renewal file, a folder named statements and this desktop picture reveals he has a set message he sends to Patreons, depending on how much money they donated (5 dollars, 20 and 50 is what I saw, so 3 unique messages in total)
I know it would be absurd to expect Phil to write unique messages to every single Patron, but the fact that there's no date on the filename, and knowing how lazy is Phil, (just take a look at how much stuff of his desktop is unnecessary, like the RE0 1st impressions folder, for example) I wouldn't be surprised if those messages had been made a long time ago (as early as 2015 I would say) and he's STILL sending those same messages from a year ago. I'm guessing his fanbase doesn't really care, so they never point out how he's recycling the same messages every single time.
Oh boy hes just advertising what a mark he is isnt he? I wonder if he keeps are the credit card data of his Patreon users on his desktop.

He could work at a call center. He's got a college degree and some experience. He could find something.
Why would he work there he cant be nice to anyone

The worst example of this had to be "Bling H20". It's literally the most expensive water in the world at $55 or $60 a bottle suggested retail price. The reason? It's supposed to be an accessory and the bottle itself is made of glass and has Swarovski crystals on it.

I worked at Pepsi years ago and they're the ones that make Aquafina. It's just filtered tap water that they sell back at a profit. Nobody there drank that stuff.
Most municipal water is safe to drink and if the taste bothers you run it through a Brita filter or hoodk up a reverse osmosis filter system to clean it if you're scared.

It's because he's all about gimmicks. Remember the "sound machine" that he bought and thought was so cool? When was the last time he used that.

Dick Stroke Phil has grand ideas of how to make his streams more interesting but only sees this as a child does. He doesn't realize that green screen requires effort, editing, actual skill and humor and most importantly a reason. He's got none of that so it's now just gathering dust.
You miss out on Fluoride if you exclusively drink bottled water

For anyone that isn't aware, this is reason phil has survived so long. He said he changes his credit cards before interest kicks in so essentially he pays for debt with more debt? I try to keep my credit card low on debt so I don't really know. Eventually you'd think the bank or someone would stop him.
Has he stated this is what he does?

In what fucking world does anyone need 8000kbps to stream

His battered housewives fans run to donate as soon as he threatens to leave.
Can this really work for another couple of years, though? I expect even the most hardcore bootlicker to eventually get burned out.

There might come a day when his fans stop giving him money at all. When that happens, Phil will become so desperate that he might resort to some truly lulzy tactics.

Fapping first, Sex tape with Panda next?

The thing is though, what Phil considers as "broke" and what the average person thinks of as "broke" are several miles apart. There's his Patreon money, plus whatever he gets from Machinima and advertisements and I think he had a sponsorship deal with Lootcrate or something a while back. People have gotten by on much less; especially since he has no dependents (what with Panda paying her own way these days) or children. If he sold the house, started living frugally and knuckled down on his debt then he probably could get away with remaining unemployed for quite a while longer. When Phil says he's "broke" what he usually means is that he doesn't have enough money to continue living at the level of comfort he feels he's entitled to. He feels entry-level service work is beneath him and he wants to live an affluent lifestyle. It'll be interesting to see which desire he compromises on first.

What I'm sort of hoping will happen is that his channel will crash and he'll end up living completely as a parasite on just a few fans.
