I'm not sure if it is a chicken or the egg situation, but generally troonism attracts people who want to spend minimal effort for attention and get it for just existing, roleplayers who want to control what other's think and not break kayfabe, and people who desire a large group of like minded asskissers friends NOW NOW NOW. The fetish could be incidental or maybe a clustered part of the person's greater mental illnesses. Whatever it is, it allows people like this to thrive and ingraine in instead of being kicked to another hobby or group.
