Welcome to the Anthro Games General!

I couldn't find a thread like this so I decided to create one. This topic isn't really about games targeting furries, but more broadly about games which feature anthropomorphic characters.

To try and make things a bit clearer here are a few examples:
Furry targeted games
General audience games featuring anthropomorphic characters
Anomaly CollapseSonic
Dust: An Elysian TailRatchet and Clank
ChangedOkami
Eastwind (should it be released)Klonoa

Even if you hate furries chances are you've played and enjoyed games with anthro characters given anthro characters form the basis of some of the most successful, famous, and oldest video game franchises.

The most recent game I've played was the PC rerelease of Klonoa 2 which was released a few years back as part of the Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series. The rereleased version is quite good and plays close enough to the PS2 version that I can't really tell a difference. I'm not sure if it's nostalgia or not, but I remember the game looking...softer maybe? The HD version is very sharp and it threw me off a bit.

So yeah, let's talk about anthro characters and their games/series!

Tail Concerto? It was fun and cute and when it came out I had zero knowledge of furries and just thought it was a cute game about cartoon animals and the rivalry between cats and dogs. I had no idea it was beloved of furfags who probably want to stick Panta up their asses or whatever. 🤮

I was so innocent then. Now I cannot unsee.*sigh*

I've never played Tail Concerto but I'd like to at some point. When it comes to PS1/N64 era 3D games I'm always a bit wary since I worry they won't hold up well and I'll be disappointed. To this day I think part of the reason Klonoa holds up so well on the PS1 is because the the "2.5D" platformer gameplay.

Sometimes it's best to try and ignore a fanbase and just enjoy a piece of media, god knows I've had to with a lot of games.

i dont know if furriers exist in russia? i think its a white only thing
Considering there's a literal cult of Gadget Hawkwrench from the old Chip 'N Dale cartoon over there, I'm pretty sure furries do exist there. I've also met one, he was just as insufferable as the American furries.

Only "anthro" game I played recently was Fuga: Memories of Steel, where you command a bunch of kids driving a seemingly-alive tank. The battles are turn-based affairs where you tell the kids what to do and when, and you have to manage shit like their stress levels because they're kids in an actual warzone. Anime as hell, but I liked it.

Altered Beast is kind of a classic. I have multiple headmates with different fursonas, so the way you transition into a different animal every level makes me feel seen. It's pretty cool how your guy gets bigger and bigger muscles, causing his clothes to rip off more and more, and then finally becomes a fully nude anthro, like he's leaving his humanity behind to obey his instinctual urges and desires.

Very cool thread btw, should probably be pinned so new users have a reliable reference on this important topic.
