Where have you been? I’ve owned guns since before I was a tranny nightmare. I’m borderline libertarian so it comes with the welcome package. You gotta have guns, be afraid of chemtrails and think the moon is a halogram.

But yes I am a gun nut cause I live in America don’t I? Guns, apple pie, bald eagles, and beer. Yeeeehaaaaa

As someone who finds body modification interesting from a technical and artistic standpoint (and from an afar standpoint, mind you), why's it seem so many people are into it less to look interesting or be a living art piece and more to adopt a "lifestyle" of getting attention and being an asshole?

If there's pleasant and mellow tattoo artists I haven't met many of them where I live.

They're physically changing themselves to go radically outside the societal norm at a time where half the celebs have face tattoos and you're honestly wondering why they're mentally ill attention whores? Let me ask you this, why are you admiring from afar instead of becoming a beautiful piece of art yourself?

Because I find tattoos interesting but too permanent for my liking. And just browsing the "art gallery"is enough for me in this matter. Not complicated.

I have a colleague who has spoken to body mod artists about why people get certain extreme modifications, and those practitioners have said that it comes down to weird fetish shit, or extreme body dysmorphia. its incredibly rare that extreme body modification is purely aesthetic.

as for the being an asshole thing, i feel that's purely due to terrible personality traits
