If the solar flare knocks out society do you think the attendees of the convention have enough skills to take over the hotel and form a successful post apocalyptic gang of raiders? Yes, and 13 year olds can register for the event without parental guidance.
Minors aren't allowed to certain 18+ "adult programs," but considering some of this is happening in a hotel lobby, that clearly means nothing.

It's actually pretty common to add hidden pockets that either zipper shut or are open on a fursuit, for carrying important things. Like wallets.

He bit off my finger in the process and it was from the distal phalanx (digit furthest from the palm) which is not viable for reattachment… so far the police have been notified and charges have been pressed if you guys would like to help me out with medical bills and other financial expenses that will come from this it would be very much appreciated thanks so much"
