I know I said I would stop giving good advice in this thread, but if Nick wants to actually rebuild his channel, he has to get back to that small-channel mindset. He needs to cater his topics to the audience amd do his homework to put on a good show.

Smaller streams, more interaction, and consistency with less shilling of ways to pay him.

He would need to treat his channel as if he were still in the sub 10k subscriber range. He has the benefits of having his tech sorted.

Heis afraid to fail. His ego tells him he needs to pull BIG numbers and guests. It is insulting to him to think he only deserves an audience of 200 or so. This is why he puts off streaming and other projects: it is easier to pretend he is a big time streamer than it is to admit his crown is tarnished.

No, all he needs to do is actually plan out his shows and do them on a consistent basis. That’s it.
Pick the topics, spend maybe 2 hours researching the topics and structuring the show based on what he has the most to say on, then do the show 3-4 nights a week same time every night. He could even keep up his drinking and degeneracy if he wanted as we have seen way worse do way better just by having consistency and a properly formatted show

I personally don't find many lolcows to be all that interesting, so I can honestly say I would love it if our non-practicing lawyer won a second year in a row.

But since I don't know very much about some of these others in the running, I can't compare them to Nick. I think unless he has some sort of serious life-altering event, or some shocking revelation comes out - like there's domestic violence, he had a drunken crash, he gives April a Balldo-baby, etc, I don't think he could win a second year in a row. Right now it seems to be mostly status-quo for him, doing the same unwatchable drunken streams pulling in very little money, when he barely even shows up for those.

And while I think Nick certainly deserved it last year either way, you gotta admit a lot of that boost at the very end was due to Balldo's Gate posting what is my single favorite post on the entire site, and it drove so much interest and attention on this guy.

Yeah I agree with this. Modafinil's primary benefit over every other stimulant is how you can get the sharpness and energy without the euphoria, jitters, or other common stimulant side effects. Also it last 8 to 12 hours.

I appreciate the critique. I will take it under advisement. I will have editorial power over the OP and a few extra RESERVED posts following it. I could re-work to expand it, or simply make additions. Once in place, I think it will be easier to determine the best course.

The only thing I can think of is he's mad that elb provides the material for people to shit all all over Nick, and has been a major force in helping the Rekieta ship sink further, but he wants to avoid agitating the commentators that use her clips. Like he wants to keep his options open should Nick totally fall on his ass and he becomes a masterless samurai guntguard.

At this point, I have to believe that the few remaining people in Nick's inner circle know very well what a hot mess Nick has become, and this isn't gonna end well, but they're just too chickenshit to admit that openly.

It could have been me that his ire was directed toward (as it was for a while once I began logging LOCALS) but poor @elb was someone more readily identifiable and closest to him. Others have taken their turn being the target of Nick's ire, but @elb is the closest one to strike at, unfortunately.

If he is not making money and feeding his ego, even a consistent show schedule would fall apart. Nick has lost the ability to do and enjoy what he likes without pigeon-holing himself.

I think he needs to find a new niche to fill--one that he can stomach doing for a long time, then grow from there--otherwise he cements himself as a cow forever.
